Battery won't charge

I punt my EH 14500 600 mah battery on a nitecore intellicharger and it rapidly blinked, indicating a polarity switch. Is my battery toast or can it be saved?

Do you have a meter? Can you check what the voltage of the battery is at this point?

Do you have any other charger you can try the battery in?

Stupid Q, but did you try and reverse it to say what the charger did?
