Ok first, i had a ibtank break when i dropped my mvp2 on the asphalt. It fell out of my purse whilte getting my 2 yr old out of the car.
when it fell it depressed the power button so that it was stuck in the on position, firing the carto. By the time i pick it up it flashed repeatedly then shot off.

i put it in a bag of rice for three days in a row.
i soaked it in rubbing alcohol, then air dried it over night, and it spent another three days in a bag of rice.
i tried to charge it, some non coprehendablr marks flashed and then the power button would just flash different colors
i then put it in a drawer for like two weeks.
in the meantime ive ordered a screwdriver so that i can attempt to open it and maybe clean it off or i dont know ...... something
now three weeks later, showing it to my son, mainly to show him the wrap, i press the button and it turns green, i click three times to turn it off, and ten turn it back on. I pop on my cartotank, it reads the ohms, it tells me volts and wattage and all buttons are working, but.... It wont fire the cartomizer..

Right now its sitting here next to me on the charger and im trying to wiggle the center pin up, but my thinking is, if it reads the ohms then the pin should be fine....

ok whats te suggestions of what to try, or what is wrong, or what i can do etc...

help me save my battery! Pleas

First of all, I gotta ask what was the rationale for the alcohol bath? Don't do that again.

Anyway, some MVP's have had issues with not firing different juice attachments. My own MVP-1 would not fire cartotanks, but would fire clearomizers like the iClear 15 (ego threaded) and iClear 30 and Protank (both 510 threaded).

The issue on your MVP is likely the center pin having gotten pushed in too deep or the top connector ring has been damaged. Inspect the top connector ring to see if it is out of alignment. You can also attempt to pull the center pin out further. I don't recommend opening the MVP up.

Yeah nothing works. Will tead the ohms and will adjust voltage and wattage but wont fire,

Bad, i did that because it has been broke regardless. At first it wouldnt turn on. So i was attempting clean the juice off of the battery.
It was after the alcohol bath that it would light up again and it was making a strange noise when charging so i just put it away for awhile. I have really considered it trash. And have bought another and have been using it. I jist havnt gotten around to taking my jwrap off yet due to the holidays, anyway pulled it out to show my son, and imwas look dead as a doornail hahahaha, and was like holy smoke, nalls itmlit up.

If it were an issue with the center pin. I would agree with the OP that it would not read Ohms. I also would like to know about the alcohol bath. Unless you were trying to take advantage of the evaporative properties of the alcohol to remove all traces of water. There actually may be some merit to that, but I wouldn't try it.

I wish there was some one who could just repair it
Well, that IS an issue with Chinese-made mods, isn't it?

I know you have shown some interest in the Provari. Admittedly it is an expensive mod. But with that you also become vested into a company which will repair the mod for modest repair fees. As is, your MVP can now be considered a disposable. A Provari likely would have survived the fall on the ground without breaking, but if it did break Provape would have it repaired and returned to you within a weeks time.

Yep i know, the exact reason i started looking into them. Im on the fence. Im scared. Its a lot of money. The batteries kinda scare me. Ughhhh!

The battery of a provari should absolutely not scare you more than the battery that is inside of you MVP.

If you buy an AW IMR battery (as suggested by provape) it would actually be safer than the one that is in the MVP because of the inherent nature of IMR batteries.

You are not alone. A lot of people have a false sense of security when they can't see or remove a battery.

Whether it is a removable battery or a "proprietary" one. All batteries need to be treated with respect, they all require the same attention

AW IMR Batteries + a GOOD charger most like the Nitecore or XTar and you are good to go

A provari actually has some protections built into it to keep you from having problems. Separate batteries should not be scary at all :)

Think of it this way. Quality device + quality battery

Yeah I know I do not own a provari but if I were to buy another regulated device it is the only one I would even consider. They are THAT good.

I am going to get a provari eventually. Maybe tax time after the holidays.

I really just thought how cool if i could bring this battery all the way back to life. It seems it has not given up yet.
For me, i need more than one or two devices. I want one upstairs, one downstairs, one in my purse. One specifically for my living room spot.
I have a big house, two teens, a toddler, and a hubby coming home from deployment, as well as three cats. Im constantly misplacing my batteries, and ill just give up looking and go get a pack. Some days im lucky i dont lose my head ( insert funny musical scene from the labyrinth)

I have two vv3 for my purse. So if one dies im good, small and portable enough.
One working mvp2' id like to get two more or something similar with varivolt and long lasting batteries. I am very afraid of burning up in this house, we have had a bit of house fires in this neighborhood so i domt want to be charging all the time.

But anyway, back to the point of, if i could get this one working, id just need one more and i will be happy with my batt set up and then will save up for the big P
