batterys for mods

Ok so i got a noob question wemhen you get a mod you get a metal tube with a button and a screen but you nees to buy batterys with it? So what kind of batterys are there and how mutch do they cost ?

My vamo uses either 18650 or 18350. I bought mine in a kit with batteries and the charger. If I had it to do over, i would have ordered batteries and charger seprately. I ended up buying the nitecore charger and some AW IMR's because the kit stuff was cheaply made.

Why don't you tell us what you are looking to purchase? Or is this just pure curiosity?

Batteries vary in price, but usually like 5 dollars a pop

18350 and 18650 are sizes. 18350 is small, 18650 are larger. 18350 are about 700-800 maH, while 18650 are 2000-2200 maH.

Each mod can take a variety of these or completely different. If we now what mod you are looking at, we can direct you to better batteries.

So the Vamo takes either (1)18350, (2)18350's stacked, or (1)18650. The single 18350 option is "short mode" without the extension tube.

AW and Erfest are good choices for batteries. Panasonic also makes good 18650 batteries.

Batteries for mods are special made for mods. They will be either Li Ion protected batteries (they need built-in protective circuits because their chemistry could be volatile and dangerous should they have a hard short) or Li Mn IMR high drain batteries (use a safer chemistry not requiring built-in protective circuits).

The batteries require a special charger to recharge them for re-use.
