Pretty sure all the 3.7 volt batteries can be charged on the same charger.

And yes, the Diamond Mod will accept your 18650 batteries. They don't have to be IMR, you can use protected too. BUT, the manufacturer may recommend one over the other. IMR vs Protected is a constant debate around here. They both have advantages and disadvantages.

Me and my bf ordered one each a week or so ago and it should be here next week, I think. Really excited. We just bought these 18650 Trust Fire Protected Li-ion 3.7V Protected 2400mAh and this Trust Fire TR001 Lithium Ion Battery charger for them -- cheapest you will find that stuff unless you want to order from China. Hope that helps :)

Switched: I'm not sure what you're trying to say? I wanted to answer you but I dunno what you mean

Hehehehe... I'm getting more and more excited by the day here! I should have mine in hand this week sometime... hopefully. Tracking shows it's still in Indianapolis but we all know how often that gets updated :glare:

Hahaha, I've been eyeing those mods for awhile now...what colour are you getting?

I'm not familiar with the diamond mod so I can't say for sure but... I did watch a review on the knight rider (own one as well) and one of the points the guy doing the review pointed out was that when he tried using the batteries in his Provari it would not fire. The reason being that the lack of the nipple on the top of the battery made it too short to properly reach the contact.

For my own experience with the battery length VS the knight rider, besides the batteries that come with the unit An AW IMR fits fine but a protected Ultrafire BRC did not fit (could not screw end cap on all the way).

So if you have any probs with the diamond not firing with the knight rider batteries - Don't assume the mod is DOA Give an 18650 with a nipple a try first.

Hope this was helpful, and enjoy yer new mod! :toast:
