I have some of these and they almost fit the BB width wise but definitely not length wise. I think if you made another bottom tube that was a 1/2" longer and bored it out a 1/2 mm they would be a great 6v option. I'm not a machinist but it looks like the threaded part on the bottom half could take a little less width and still be strong. I'd buy one...

Hey all,
I noticed that the answer to "can one use 2x3v protected batty" for 6v vaping is YES.
That's great, because I have some 3.7v 10440 PROTECTED batteries and wanted to stack 2 of them with HV atty for some high power vaping.
Can protected batteries be stacked up one on top of the other?

I tried it this week while building a quick home made test, stacked 2 batteries and taped them together.
Taped a wire to the outside of the atty which will connect to the negative battery side and taped a wire to middle if atty which would connect to the positive side of the battery. (atty was old, would not heat up on a 510 battery, but fired up on 8v)
All was going well, vaping started @8.2v from freshly charged batteries each @4.1v of the charger. Kept on vaping and checking voltage 8.0v, 7.7, 7.5 7.1, 6.9 and nothing. I figured the batteries drained down to about 2.7v and that is when the protection should kick in. But after checking the voltage on both batteries = 1 was @ still 3.5v the other 0% dead. (what happened to the protection?)
Saw I killed one battery and that's OK because this was a try and lean project.
My questions:
Can any or protected batteries be stacked up for more power?
What did I do wrong?

Thanks guys, any ideas on this would be most appreciated .

I had been waiting a long time to get a BB for 6v vap'n. I finally got the pT and an Enercell to get that power I crave. I just love the BB at 5v, not so much at 6v, which is fine.

Then I bought the LR~510 atty from AltSmoke. I used the 18650 3.7 bat that had been sitting for six months since I got my SB. And now I don't care if I ever get 6v for the BB. The 3.7v experience with a LR atty is so close to 5v & 6v vap'n that it no longer makes any sense to mess with the stacking issues.

Get the LR attys and vap on, man. You'l love 'em.

Do any protected batteries exist that would enable a BB to do 6v?

the cr2 charger he sells aswell. only thing is that true 510 attys do not work, trips the protection. but higher ohm ones do ex the 510 attys with the washer. cartomizers 901 ect all work fine

Yea, the tripping problem is gonna be an issue on these smaller batts. Better a trip than a pop I guess. Thanks
