Woke up to two emails from these guys today basically detracting what they said about protected cr2 batts.

He says he believes they are portected, but they currently have no data sheet for their cr2's as proof. I suggested he should find out.

Then he went on to say in the next email that I should buy some and assess the situation for myself.

That site is now blocked in my browser for being Ridiculous.

I have used these batteries from DealExtreme many times. I used to own a GG Grant and I got one of the first round of Silver Bullets. I used these batteries on a daily basis for over four months. The run time is nothing compared to a RCR123a. I have also found that you have more faulty batteries. This may be because it is easier to over deplete them. I have also had CR2's come close to exploding twice. The first time they were in a cheap charger and I went to take them out and one was so hot the green coating stuck to my finger. I unplugged the charger and popped out the battery with a butter knife. It didn't explode, but I'm guessing I got lucky. The other time my wife was picking up the living room and went to move my SB and told me it was extremely hot (it hadn't been used in a couple of days as I was trying out the AdapteveR with two RCR123a's). It was frightingly hot. I picked it up, unscrewed the cap and dumped the batteries out. One of the batteries was slightly bloated and the green plastic had curled up on the bottom. I decided not to use CR2's after that experience and have since ordered another SB with the longer sleeve that can use RCR123a's and I used the AdapteveR until the second SB arrived. I figure that I shouldn't tempt fate more than I already have. Maybe they are protected and maybe the Tenergy RCR123a's can do the same thing, I don't know. Just thought I would add my two cents. Cheers.

#2, the website spec says 550mAh, but the side of the battery clearly states 280mAh(I would tend to believe the labeling on the battery). So that would be (running them in series) 6V a 280mAh.

I did confirm with the seller, these are indeed 280mAh. But they are definitely LifePO4, so if safety is a concern over battery life for some, these maybe a better route to take. Just an FYI...

Okay, got it translated, to some degree but only half assedly. ie Many words are now in english but not enough to know how to place an order for em!

Click here: then click on what looks like a search bar & type lifepo4 rcr2 & thats as far as I got. Goin to bed now but hope someone can press onward with this journey for 6V SAFE BB use.

I was able to find the cost on bulk orders for LIFEP04 CR2 batteries, they are 250mAh though. Probably the same exact ones you found above, so if I was to order several hundred of these batteries, would you guys be interested?

sure would... please get them in stock// thanks
