Loaned out a PCC, battery & 2 carts to a lady at work last week - she would not give it back to me!!!

She insisted on buying the kit for someone else at work. I told her to have the guy order from Steve but she insisted on the kit she had in her hand!

I told her she would be missing carts but she did not care. She shoved $40 into my hand after I showed her the site and how easy it was to order. I do not want to become the distribution center at work. I let her buy it from me but told her that he would eventually have to get online to order carts coz I'm not doing it for him ... I think a lot of the people at work don't have debit/visa cards or credit cards and therein lays the problem.

** grumble ** oh well, guess i'm ordering a new pcc kit ...

Thanks Lilly ...

It's not even that I didn't want to part with it. It was the principle of the whole thing - why waste the money on someone who won't be able to support his VK by ordering his own stuff??? There is a lot of interest here at work, unfortunately, a lot of the people who are interested have no way or are not willing to make on-line purchases. Much as I'd like to help out, I don't want to become the "ordering center" for all these people.

My sister is like that too - she drives me nuts every time she wants to order something that's only available online. She pays for it but still .. when I help her out, she's hounding me until it comes in. GRRRRR ...

Sorry, venting ...

I feel your pain Flyin...I have 3 sets out on loan. One set I really want back and I'm having trouble getting a hold of him through his mother (my neighbor). He's had it for over a month. I KNOW I didn't give him that much juice but she told the friend that wanted to borrow one he's using it. If he's using it that much, he can buy his own! I have other people that want to try it. I don't even mind ordering for the occassional friend that can't..but if I wanted to be a supplier, I would be...lol

(BTW, he's the one that has my red battery 8-o)

I work in a rent-to-own store where myself and our entire staff vape our various electronic cigarettes in our store. For fun one day, and to help Steve, the best customer service man I have ever seen, I displayed a PCC and V4L ecig on our front counter with all the business cards I had received in all my orders. In one day, over 20 business cards were gone and i had 4 people wanting to buy mine right then and there.. I will not part with my vaporking!! LoL.. But i give Steve and the V4L team the highest recommendation I possibly can to people... I'm suprised to see that there are lots of people that still have not heard of an electronic cig yet. It is a blast to throw a brand new cart on a battery for someone who has no idea what an ecig is and watch the "confusion and excitement" of a "virgin" taking their first drag... Then the reality kicks in moments later that this device is fun, tasty, and way better for their health (and wallet)...

Hi everyone! New to the forum but I've been reading for a few months and purchased my VK thanks to all I;ve read here. I LOVE my VK! I have a coworker who has been bugging me to let her try it out over the weekend because she knows I have more than one. I feel bad avoiding her but I don't want to risk not getting it back.

Like I stated, I don't mind loaning the kit out. I don't even really mind the fact that this woman wanted to buy the kit. It's the fact that I know this will bite me in the .... because the guy she's buying it for is going to go through her to get me to order carts for him. And he's totally using her too because he knows she's got money .. grrr ... he wouldn't even look me in the eyes last night coz he knows that I know what's up. wimpy, wimpy, wimpy ...

arrggh! I completely understand how you feel flying low! I'm facing a similar situation. I let DH bring in a batt, case filled with cartos for his life long friend. I know how much this guy smokes and no way would the cartos last more than a month. DH and I really want this guy off of analogs. He has had major heart problems, had major surgery, etc. I know he is waiting for me to supply him with more cartos and not because he won't do on-line ordering.

FL,

Make a note on your next order, and I ship ya a couple extra's, also request some plastic sharing tips for your carts.

Thank You, and sorry the VK can be such a PIA sometimes;)

Enjoy

Steve:thumb:

AWWW! I do appreciate the offer but she did pay me for the kit after all. I'll order another PCC kit later, I have 3 orders on the way already. ;)

And for you info, Steve, the VK is in no way a PIA - it's the people I work with!!!! You, sir, are the King of wonderfulness!!!

Here's my rule of thumb, I never loan out anything, including money, that I can't afford to give away. That way, I'm not disappointed when I don't get things back. This philosophy really is helpful to keep me from being jaded toward my fellow man/woman.

Something else I've noticed is that I might not get anything back from the people who I actually loaned or gave something to, but when I need something, someone else always seems to come through for me, sometimes from the most unexpected places.

This doesn't mean you have to be a doormat, either. :)

mema, sorry you're going through something similiar. don't get me wrong, i love helping people out. i just don't like feeling taken advantage of or being EXPECTED to keep people supplied with stuff. ooooh, don't get me started ...
i'm smilin *thinking of a happy place* ... oooh, found one ... it's called V4L!!!!

I completely understand!! I don't mind losing the battery, I didn't expect to get that back. I don't mind giving away a few cartos, but like you I don't want him to expect me to keep him supplied. Aren't people strange? I don't like the "I only do this as long as it free and I don't have to lift a finger" attitude.

I hope you can get your situation straightened out. Stand firm! and just give out the V4L card when asked to buy for someone.
