Hello all, Been off the forums 4 awhile but still vaping and not smoking. Just celebrated a year last week. Finally bought a nautilus to sit atop my trusty MVP2....very pleased with that combo. I'm curious as to what the "new big thing" is around ECF these days? When I left it was all about Kayfuns, Clones, and Regulation (fda)....I did see that Aspire is getting great reviews on its new BVC-Bottom vertical coil...(Reminds me of what all the Carto guys were saying way back when about superior vapor and flavor).Anyways, Just touching base-Dave

FDA is the big thing they have a deeming regulation out that we all need to take action on. This one is pretty bad more concise and organized attack on is than in the past ... still filled with ignorance, bureaucracy and the obvious attempts to support big pharmaceutical, big tobacco at the expense of our health and small business driving the industry.

Welcome back lol

Welcome back :)

I think things are still pretty much the same. FDA has finally shown a bit more of their hand. Kayfun is still being talked about. People are still people and no one has turned into a zombie yet.

Seems like there's lots of talk about the Dna-type chipsets from China...? 20 watt, 30 watt, 50 watt...WOW... I'm trying to get some more info on this stuff before I make any real decisions because I've seen a lot of flash in the Pan type stuff float thru here in the last Year. Sure seems like a lot of folks are pretty excited though.:)

Hmm... so if I leave, I might cure my e-cig related shopping addiction? Interesting enough

I don't think you missed too much. I've been away from the vaping scene for two years (returned two weeks ago) but, contrary to you, I went back to analogs :( Anyway, I'm selling all my 6 pounds of stashed tobbacco (lol) to my friends and I've been almost smoke free for two weeks. In the begining I thought wow, so much new and better stuff and there has been quite the evolution in the past two years but the problems are mostly the same... chasing the best vape on earth, spending cash in every new ultimate vapor gadget and dealing with irritant problems from time to time... I think that resumes the vaping scene all together :)

Regards
Tony

Tony, I'm glad you made it back and Congrats on the two weeks so far...Did you save your Vaping gear? What are you currently vaping on? I'm looking into a 30watt Box Mod to go alongside my MVP2 and my mega spinners..

I saved my gear but its really obsolete... I'm from the time the best thing on earth was a ego-T 510 atty with a polyless cartdrige mounted on a ego batt... CE cartomizers and basic drippers. Compared to today's standarts, thats low level entry yet they worked quite well for two years.

About my current gear... nothing special. I decided to cut down to the essential and not get over my head with this since I was quite afraid I would drop out after a few days. Currently I have a mini zMax with an mini aerotank and a itaste VV V3.0 with a mini protank 3. I use the first mostly at home and on long trips where I plan beeing outside during more than a day. The second system I usually use at work and outside. Its smaller, lighter, can be hidden in the pocket easily and I can connect it to any micro usb to recharge or use as a pass-through.

I would like to get a kayfun mini (clone) so that I could have a RBA (I love tinkering with coils, wicks and Ohms) without depending on assemblies like those from the kanger heads but I think I really need to control my urges and not repeat the shopping frenzy of the past.

Regards
Tony
