As much as I would like to continue this 'discussion', I think I shall keep my lady parts ladylike.

So, Vaporcalyptic, why would you be deliberately offensive to someone who has done you no harm and who has been here helping and vaping far longer than yourself? Being of the female persuasion myself I find Katdarling's setup beautiful and in good taste. Not everything has to be black, silver, gears and punk rock. The ladies can and do enjoy color and bling. :)

Thank you, choochoo, I really do appreciate your comments. And believe it or not, there ARE men who are admiring of the more feminine, blinged up version of set ups. They might not want THEIRS to look that way, but they can and do convey admiration nontheless.

And I find that incredibly... Pleasingly...Respectful. I do love those men.

Pass me some please, DPL? ;)

Now that we got that cleared out, I'd definitely be glad to have a woman with a mod as nicely decorated as Katdarling's standing next to me while I'm vaping my Russian 'Vari.

ON TOPIC:

I obviously have a Russian, Hcigar Kayfun, Nautilus and Nautilus mini. My best vapes go in the RBA's and second best in the Nautilus. Yes, the BVC coils are very, very close to the rebuildable experience, but the maintenance that would be necessary to keep the performance up all the time is just a friggin' pain in comparison and there's nothing like a screw to set the exact air draw one really loves. Note that I work in electronics, so re-wicking and rebuilding is much more fun than just changing an atomizer to me.

And any woman (in her right mind) would be pleased as punch to vape alongside you and that Russian Provi! Thanks, Torch.

(Robino, thank YOU for the reminder. Been busy around the threads lately?) ;)

Realizing I'm way new at this, take what I have to say for what it's worth...i.e. not much. Started with V2, quickly moved to MVP2 w/ iClear 16...and almost knew immediately that I wanted something with better flavor and vapor. The guys at my B&M suggested a Nautilus Mini with BVC, and it's what I've been rocking ever since. I now carry two with me for at work, each with a different flavor. I will try a Kayfun at some point, but right now I'm trying to recover and slow down on the spending since acquiring my Provari Mini (sporting Nautilus Mini)...looks awesome. Recently picked up an IGo-W for while at home and in a 'dripping' mood. Only trouble I've had with the BVC coils was vaping too frequently with a high VG fluid.

The fun rebuildables experience got old to me I just like using the BVCs now and will continue to use them unless a better pre-built coil hits the market the difference in flavor is indistinguishable to me between a RBA vs BVC.

Sent from my SCH-I545 using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2

Having never gone the RBA route, this is QUITE interesting to me. I share your love for the BVC's, but had nothing to compare it to. In other words, the "fun rebuildable experience" never found its way to "new" with me.

THANKS FOR THE ENCOURAGING WORDS!

So.......

I gotta weigh in here. I have been vaping for about 4 years now, and used the CE-4's for a long time. Found out about the nautilus mini's and bought 2 of them and a bunch of coils (BVC and BDC's). I agree, the BVC's are great, they throw the vapor and flavor much better than the old clearo's.

That said, within the last month, I got the nautilus minis and also a Kayfun 3.1 (nautilus first, about 2-3wks later, the Kayfun). I'm new enough to both to not have a biased opinion here, and I can say unequivocally that the Kayfun wins hands down. Vapor is better, flavor is great, the nautilus is on my backup Vamo V5 now, and is a great second vape when I want a different flavor. I vape unflavored in the kayfun (60-40 pg/vg @ 9mg) and some of the "DuMaurier" tobacco flavored in the mini. I find that the Kayfun is so easy to wick, and I've only needed to coil it once since I bought it, it's that damn good...

Edit to add;
I rewick with organic cotton every 2-3 days on the kayfun to keep the flavor fresh, can't do that on a BVC... once it's getting a bit "cooked" you can only keep vaping till you can't stand it anymore. On the KF, you can keep it fresh all the time for next to nothing, (less than a cent, vs 3-5$ per replacement BVC)

So, BVC vs Kayfun? BVC is very close, but I can't vape it over 9-10w and it's getting a bit harsh. The kayfun will vape at 10-12w smooth all day long, could go higher I'm sure.

I guess it's all subjective, but i personally prefer the Kayfun. Next on my list, the Pontus rda (tank dripper), love to see that on a VTR.

I'm with you all the way, except one detail:

I do vape my nautilus mini BVC over 10 watts (about 12) with no problem. Got a 60/40 American tobacco juice int it.

My Nautilus has yet to receive a BVC coil (using BDC until I finish them all) and when I go 8-9 watts, the Canadian tobacco in it can get harsh depending on how steeped and how strong the juice is. I'd say it's really a question of juice and nicotine concentration on this point. Then again, I probably wouldn't try either anywhere near 20 watts if I could...
