Hi,
I've been smoke free for 4 months thanks to V4L and all of you guys at the forum. I read it every day and it helps. Does anybdy have any idea if there will be more flavors in VG carts and juices? I feel beter with VG but the choices are limited and I don't want to go elsewhere since I love V4L and all the help I get here.

I've got pounds and pound of roll your own tobacco staring at me as I type this. I got my first ecig back in September 1 of 09. I was down to 2 cigs within a couple of weeks, by 9/30/09 I smoked no more and haven't since. I was lucky and got a really great mod ecig as my first purchse, which I still use around the house,it's kind of manly and strange looking to use out in public for my taste. But for my out and about time, I use my V4L products always. And I love my passthroughs for sitting at the computer. So, I've been off cigarettes completely for about 6 1/2 months. I've been on this forum since early October when I placed my first order with V4L.

I heard some commercial and decided I'd research. Fortunately I didn't go with the commercial. ;) I registered here in late December 2009 to aid in that research. Found V4L, ordered. It arrived three days later. I had two and a half packs of cigarettes left when I opened the package and started vaping. I smoked one more cigarette the next day to compare, but that was it. Three weeks later I decided to just throw out the two plus packs of cigarettes, and haven't had another since.

Somewhat interestingly - I was really "committed" to quitting smoking. I was just looking at it one day thinking "I'm at my ten-pack-year mark and a little over. May be time I start thinking about it...". The V4L product was really more of a curiosity. I just didn't find a need to smoke after that. So it just kinda happened "organically", if you will.

It's great to see so many pioneers checking in! Thanks for all the posts, folks -- they sure helped me when I was doing my research!

I'm still a newbeh, but I'll post for posterity: Heard about ECF on a gaming forum, started reading and became a supporting member before I'd even received my first kit!

I've had a handful of analogs since I started vaping, but I deliberately did not keep track. I don't know for sure when my last analog was...but I'm pretty sure it was early March. :D

We ordered our first kits during the Valentine's sale this past February.

Opened the package and haven't had a cigarette since.

The really crazy thing is that I still have a few packs of unopened Camel Turkish Gold 100s locked up in my bedroom. They used to be my brand until they were discontinued. Rich went around to all the convenience stores and bought every pack he could find, and gave them to me as a present (Christmas? Birthday? Can't remember). I saved them for very special occasions, and still have a few packs of them.

I might break one out on my camping trip next month (trust me, it's a special occasion) just to see how horrible the experience is. More than anything it's just curiosity - I haven't smoked a single .... since I started vaping and the curiosity is killing me.

I'll probably save a pack for posterity though. Break one out when the world comes to an end or something. Maybe one day cigarettes will be completely illegal, and I'll sell it to the highest bidder to finance my old age. I can't imagine just chucking them though.

Me... as my sig shows, I quit smoking suddenly, three months ago, the same day my V4L gear arrived. One vape, never another cig. I joined the family a day or two later when I felt the need for support. Very smart move.

Same here, but I started with a 510 kit from Cignot. Now I have Tornado batteries, and I love them. And I love this forum!! Vaping has become a really fun hobby for me.

I'm sure they will be dry as a bone and disgusting when you finally open it up and have one haha BLEH! :p

Great story, Stephra. But personally, I'd chuck 'em. Tonight. I know, everyone's different. But do be careful.

I couldn't do it. I wouldn't even open them if all my juice disappeared tomorrow morning. They aren't a temptation to me anymore, and believe me, they were certainly a huge temptation before the vape.

I know, I know... but I can speak for my own resolve, and at this point, I just plain love my vape so much that anything else would just be a disappointment.

I feel better now. :D
