Well Jeffree....I've taken your advice, followed in your footsteps and quit cold turkey the day I started vaping, Thanksgiving Day! In fact, I still have half a pack of regular cigs in my purse from the night before, but have zero desire to have one. I too used to smoke ML's about a pack/day for about 25 years. I'm also finding that I'm really not vaping all that much or as much as I thought I would be. I think it's because I know I can vape whenever or where ever I want that I tend to not vape even half as much as I used to smoke!!

I have found that to be true too! I mean just knowing that wherever I am I can pull out my VK and take a few hits is huge. I don't think the craving is near as strong as when I was still smoking and wondering when I could sneak off for a cig. Much more relaxing...

Exactly! I'm saving so much time as well not having to have a smoke before going anywhere, even if it was just 5 minutes away, since I didn't smoke in my car!

I started with a weirdo type e-cig and smoked while trying to make them work. I ordered a 901 the next day and quit cold turkey the day it got here! After 6 months of 901's and mods I was ready to throw in the towel..not that I wanted a smoke, I was just sick of the constant refilling and battery charging! Steve tricked me into trying a Vapor King passthru (I had been a customer of his juices all along) and I have been a loyal customer every since..yea! No more refilling/recharging every 5 puffs!
It's been over a year and a half..not one single smoke! Thanks everyone here!! :)

Oh, I meant to add, it gets easier as time goes on. I mostly go all day without a vape. Sometimes I think..oh I need a vape and then forget all about it. The nights on the computer and in the car are my vaping places now. This beats my 37 year 2 pack+ habit all to hell! :)

As a diabetic one of my Dr.s shared "HALT" with me. I believe it is also used with 12 step programs.
Never get too Hungry
Never get too Angry
Never get too Lonely
Never get too Tired
For me it has worked with eatting things I can't have and eatting when I should.
It has also helped with staying away from cigarettes. If I get tired or mad I will reach for a cigarette..of course they aren't there..but still!

Nice thought, Mary Kay. You make me glad I started this thread. You remind me that although quitting cigs was surprisingly easy for me, it wasn't painless. Odd little cravings sometimes, tasteless vapes, and such. And still, even now, I sometimes reach for a lighter or ashtray on my balcony. Kinda spooky. And like you, I still try to keep the vaping easy. I've never even refilled a carto, meaning I've dropped some extra cash. But not one cig. I know, I know... I should refill. Well, I ordered some blank coolcarts and VG juice last night. I'll try it for two weeks, but I don't like the idea.

I see you're reading my mind. We have the gift of time now, we can feel sated very easily, very quickly, and just about anywhere we want. Loving every minute of it.
