Been out of the loop for a while and looking to replace my older Buzz vv. A little overwhelmed.

Well I have been using the Old model buzz ( WIth the screw to adjust Voltage ) For a long time now, a few years actually.

The Buzz has held up Amazing and I love it!

My battery Charger just died and I'm thinking since I have to by a new charger anyways Why not By a fancy New E-Cig To replace my Buzz and keep the Buzz as a backup since it has served me so well.

The thing is tho that I am afraid to admit I have not really been following the advancement of E-cigs since I bought my Buzz. So Looking around the forums for a Nice new VV E-cig Is Very overwhelming.

There are so many new models and brands that I have never heard of I'm really behind on things and like I said Overwhelmed.

I would Like a good replacement for my Buzz so the Voltage has to be adjustable. And it has to be something for a hardcore vaper. I use my Buzz constantly and I like strong hits and long battery life. I usually vape at about 5V and I use i06 3.5ohm Attys from Ikenvape with a sleeve around it because I keep my atty so wet I was loosing a lot of juice down the sides of my Buzz .. So the replacement I get needs to have 510 threads.

I'm Looking at around $100 or less preferably for a kit. But If its a great unit and highly recommended I will try to scrape up some more to get it.

I'm really Looking forward to what is available Nowadays!

EDIT: Ok so I looked around a little more and see there there is a thread below mine thats really similar But I would still like to get some input to my particular style of E-cig that I'm looking for.


I don't know anything about whats different between Variable Voltage vs Wattage so that doesn't really matter to me it can be either.

Reliability is a huge factor, the Buzz has held up amazing in the few years I have owned it I only need to get it repaired once and it was my fault. I am not really looking for a flimsy made unit I need something that will last.

Power, I need something that I can get strong hits off of. I guess anything that will go up to 6v would technically fulfill that.

Also Like I said needs to have 510 threads.

I Just want to make sure that I replace my Buzz with something atleast as good as it and hopefully better.

There are a bunch of different options as far as a mod but one thing (for me) that is a for sure on the charger is this

Totally plug and play, no settings needed.
I think that they carry it at Amazon, too ..look around you may be able to find it cheaper, too.

As far as a mod that is by all accounts well-built with good customer service (but kinda spendy) there is

From all accounts (I don't have one) built like a tank.
I have a Vamo (about 50.00) and I have had no issues with it.
There have been good reports on the Sigelei ZMAX, too.
Depends on how much you want to spend and the ones i just named are barely scratching the surface of all the stuff that is now on the market.

I would look at the VAMO. It's in the same price range as the other popular VV models but it is a Power Regulated VV/VW model with a 5 amp switch. Being Power Regulated (VW) it provides much better consistency than any VV model in that price range. With a 5 amp switch you can use any atty/carto/tank/RBA on the market successfully. Most competing VV models only have the much smaller 2.5 amp switch which limits what you can use on it. There are no limitations. It uses both 18650 and/or 18350 batteries and they can be charged on your basic inexpensive Trustfire TR-001 charger. Being Power Regulated (variable wattage) and having a 5 amp switch just makes it a better option than any VV model other than say the Darwin. It has a 15 watt upper limit and 6 or 7 volt upper limit. It hits like a Mac Truck.

Have you looked at the Buzz Pro? It would use your same batteries, has improved controller and easy to set voltage now. Can even use your same top caps if needed. Check out Notcigs if you haven't already. Doesn't have all the fancy stuff but it built to last. I've had my Infinity Pro for a long time and it works as good as new even after many drops, leaky atty's and such.

I would look at a Buzz Pro. Durability was one of your main concerns right? I opted for the Provari. Built like a tank. You can get a blem model for $140, so a little more than you wanted. I'm not sure but notcigs had the buzz on sale for $79.99.

I was a Buzz gal too, going quickly from an ego to the Buzz. In fact, I owned two Buzz's because I wanted a back-up. At some point, the ProVari interested me because of it offered regulated voltage. I purchased a ProVari and sold both Buzz units. I really liked (and still do like) the regulated voltage feature the ProVari provided.

I do not know anything about the current technology & features in the current Buzz. I only know it was a tremendous pv that was well built and put out by a company that stood behind its products. A company that stands behind their products and upholds service and warranty claims is very important to me. Both the Buzz & the ProVari are backed by excellent customer service. Both are excellent companies to deal with, imho.

I would still be with my two Buzz units if I had not discovered the ProVari and the regulated voltage feature. Sorry if my post has not helped you very much. But I am someone who has owned, used, and loved both the Buzz and the ProVari so thought I should respond to your inquiry. Sometimes I wish I would have kept one of my Buzz units. Both the ProVari and Buzz are what some would call 'heavy' pv's. To me, that 'heavy' is a good feeling, a feeling of quality, substance, dependability, etc. ymmv
