Bought my e-cig to help cut down on analogs with no intention of quitting. 1 week later, no more analogs. Tried one 2 weeks later, 2 drags and wondered why the hell I smoked them for 35yrs at 1-2 pks per day.
I have no intention of quitting vaping, but my nic level is down to 10-18 without trying.
Love this stuff

Well I didn't smoke analogs as long as you did, I was smoking for 9 years. I started vaping two weeks ago, and it was a God send. Seriously. I tried to quit using so many different methods, patch, gum, pill and hypnosis. NONE of them worked. one day on vaping and I was hooked. In a good way!!

but like you it's been two weeks, and today I bought a pack of cigarettes because my battery died while I was in the car. With no other option, i needed the nicotiene. It was the most disgusting horbile tasting thing i've ever had, like a cigarette that is 6 months stale. i couldn't even taste the menthol in my usual brand. I keep wondering, if it tasted like that when I started because it was just so BAD! I gave the other 19 away 20 minutes later, and went home for my fresh battery. i will always carry two with me from now on because smoking analogs is beyon nasty!!

Love the vapor, not sure if I plan to quit now that cancer is less likely, and also now that I don't smell like a bar in the midwest!!

I have been vaping for a little over a month now and used to be a pack and a half a day smoker for the past 15 years. Before I made an ecig purchase I did a lot of research and stumbled upon this site. The people here have been great. It's like a support group and everyone is here to help you. I strongly believe that the support given to me by this forum was a powerful secondary tool that allowed me to conquer the evil of cigarettes.

I will be 30 years old in August, I am curently sitting in Iraq, and thanks to the fine folks here and my trusty PV, I will be able to go home to my 3 year old daughter smoke free!

Grats man, when I was over there, I was so stressed I was smoking 2packs a day. And absolutely hated smoking. If I only knew about the product back then.

Good for you Enkrypter! Grats!

JC williams - make sure you have enough juice and spare attys - those are the 2 things most people dont start off with enough of (me included) and end up panicking if something happens. The ego is good for battery life much better than the standard 510 batts.

well the kit comes with one and i was gonna order another so that would give me 2 attys 2 batteries and then i was gonna order an extra 5pack of carts and then from wicked was gonna order a 5x 5ml assortment pack to try different flavore

that brings me to another question though if i am a pack a day smoker can anyone give me a rough idea on how long a cart will last me (not for refill but replacement)

also what regular maintenance needs to be done to the e-cigs

I can't get over it either. I would honestly (no joke) want my PV buried with me - except for that fact that I'd like to be cremated (not now, but eventually) that's how I feel about vaping. It's one of the only moments/things in my lifetime where what I want and what I need are in perfect alignment!

I plan to vape forever - nicotine or not, I don't care - ban or not, I don't care. Funny thing about it though, I recently got a new flavor of juice but for whatever reason I got in 12mg instead of my usual 24mg... guess what - made absolutely no difference at all to me. None. It really makes me wonder after a 25 year hardcore smoking addiction - am I addicted to the nicotine or is it all in my mind? A true reality check right there.

The cart is plastic. It'll last forever. Well in practical terms it will last longer than you'll keep it. Over time it'll wear away as you put it in and remove it from the atomizer until its too loose to stay in. The fill material will degrade but can be washed and reused some but it will need to be replaced before the cartridge itself needs to be tossed.

Maintenance:
You could was the cart in mild dish soap once a week if you want. Not necessary but will make sure there's no buildup of dried juice and its just a general cleanliness thing.

Ditto on the atomizer. Not necessary but there's just the general cleanliness thing. If you do wash it, just hot from the tap (no need to boil) water no soap. Let dry out a good 24 hours. If you really want to use soap you must be very careful to completely rinse it. Again I don't see a need to get that carried away. If you're worried about germs use a bath in grain alcohol or cheap vodka instead followed by a rinse in the hot tap water.

Clean the threads on the atomizer and battery. Cloth wet with warm water but just damp not soaking is enough. Can be used to wipe down the outside of the cartridge and atomizer also. Daily.

I charge my batteries every night along with refilling my cartridges. That's when I wipe down everything and clean the threads. I don't clean my cartridges or atomizers weekly. I do clean my atomizer if it seems to draw harder than normal. I assume its dried or semi-dried juice (usually some flavor that's especially thick) that's causing my trouble. Since the draw goes back to normal after cleaning I think I'm right :)
