Beer and Vaping

Icehouse? Bud? Pabst? You all make me wanna cry...
Even Sam Adams cuts it a little close *sigh*

Yuengling Traditional Lager is only acceptable to me because I live within a few hours of one of their breweries and it was my first beer, can't help but be slightly biased on that one.

I frequently vape Coffee or Cappuccino juices with Coffee Stouts such as Terrapin Wake n' Bake and Bell's Java Stout. I also enjoy Coffee and Capp juices with just about any Russian Imperial Stout, Oatmeal Stout or Baltic Porter. Guinness Draught doesn't quite cut it for me, but Extra Stout? Now we're talkin'...

For my regular drink and vape, I prefer Green Tea or Flue Cured with a nice Pale Ale, IPA, hoppy lager, or a hoppy Red/Amber. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (or Torpedo IPA), Brooklyn Lager, Stone Pale Ale, Bell's Amber, St. Rogue's Red etc. etc.

Or Hilton, Cigar or Turkish with things like Rogue Dead Guy (and ESPECIALLY Double Dead Guy, mmmm), Stone's Arrogant ....... or their re-release of their 11th Anniversary Ale, now dubbed "Sublimely Self Righteous Ale".

I also like to occasionally get a bomber of Rogue Hazlenut Brown Nectar to vape specifically with Almond from LiteCig (It's such a rad combo, you have NO idea)
To those of you who drink real beer, Bravo!
As for the rest of you, I have only pity and the hope that you will one day stop drinking yellow water. :)

FYI:
I'm a beer geek bordering on snobbery, so take this as you will, but really guys... quit drinking those adjunct lagers, you're hurting yourself, lol.

Wow, this post is freaking nails, from top to bottom and word for word.
And it really does make you want to cry, doesn't it?

For awhile I was starting to think maybe I was wrong or something.
Nah, that actually NEVER crossed my mind.
:D

Anyhow, you've given me a couple beers to try...

Hahaha, thanks! I'm glad I was able to give you some ideas!
I'm completely jealous of you for living on the west coast.
You SHOULD have access to stuff from Founders, and if so, please for the love of God go get some of their Breakfast Stout. I got some in a trade on beeradvocate a few months back and it's effin' brilliant.

I can get quite a few top notch brews down here in South FL, but it's nothing compared to what you guys can get out west.
Russian River, Three Floyds, Founders, New Belgium (I've only had Fat Tire in TN), Deschutes... I'm drooling at the thought.
Not to mention the loads of awesome breweries in Colorado, but thankfully I have access to most of the breweries out of CO.

Anyway, yeah, I don't want to knock anybody for what they drink for the sake of drinking... I'm 22, and I'll admit that I drink plenty of budweiser during those beer pong games (though I'd do it with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale if it wouldn't cost me 8 bucks a game) but if I'm sitting around relaxing I'd rather not drink something that reminds me of vomiting at 4 AM.

A friend of mine who does beer reviews with his wife on Youtube put up a video a few weeks back with both of them doing blind taste tests of all of the different Macro light beers... needless to say, hilarity ensued as both of them identified their "favorite" light beers as their least favorites, and vice versa.
If you think you prefer Bud Light over say... Coors Light, you just might be wrong. There's not a whole lot of difference, they're both crap.

Don't even get me started on Ice beers... they make a low quality, low alcohol beer and then gently drop it below freezing and skim off ice crystals, thereby artificially increasing the alcohol content without needing more malt (excuse me... rice and/or other adjuncts, I forgot for a moment that light beer isn't really beer) or allowing more time for fermentation. It's BLASPHEMY.

Give me bottle conditioned or give me DEATH!

OH rogue is good stuff.

I had some drop top while I was first staring to vape.
That is about the lowest beer in flavor I will go.

It is funny once you get your taste back and when you vape the subtle tiny notes of the beers come out.

I cant wait to get this over to a local Microbrewery and try some of their darker beers with some strong juice.

Old Rasputen is MMM.
so is Angry ......., double angry ........
Terminator.
Hammerhead not much into the overly malty but this is caramelized goodness.

OH I need to make a trip a bit farther out of town there is a local microbrewery that does this scotch ale to die for. Fearless brewery Scotch ale.

I noticed the same thing, I love the fact that I now notice the subtle differences in hop varieties and can pick them out as plainly as the colors of the rainbow.
I missed my sense of smell and taste greatly...
I discovered that Saaz hops are my absolute favorite (Speaking of which.. Tripel Karmeliet, Rogue Half-E-Weizen, and Sierra Nevada Summerfest are all beers which include this hop, DELICIOUS!)

Old Rasputin is awesome, I love North Coast Brewery.
Also, Angry .......? Don't you mean Arrogant .......? Double ....... is good also, but you haven't lived until you've tried Oaked Arrogant ........
Unfortunately, around these parts it rings in at 18 bucks for a 6 pack, which is a little high for me, but I've been known to grab a couple pints when it's on tap at my local craft beer bar.

Hmm could have sworn it was angry.

The ....... line up is good, MY GOD man how much for a 6pack?? I guess I am blessed to live in the land of microbrews.

Going to go hit mcmenamins. chill with a ruben and a hammer head. Will need to If my new toy does not get here tomorrow.

Keep in mind, it's 18 bucks for a 6 pack of OAKED Arrogant ........ Arrogant ....... is already about 7 bucks per 22 ounce bottle. So obviously the Oak Aged version is going to get a little bit higher in price. This is also the most expensive six pack that I've ever seen at my local beer store, being just BARELY more expensive than Bell's Hopslam, which due to recent hop shortages has skyrocketed to 17 bucks and change for a six pack when it comes out every year.

Besides, 18 for a sixer works out to only be 3 bucks a beer, which is about half what I'd pay per pint at the bar.

OAKED Arrogant ....... Ale
