Craft beer for sure. I'll drink a fizzy adjunct lager like Bud or Miller on an extremely hot day after work but the best beer will always be craft.

Dogfish Head and Stone are very good but I like it keep it local for freshness. I especially like to drink straight from the brewpub. My favorite local

brewers here in Michigan are Bells and New Holland which are also available in other states. My screen name is actually after one of my favorite Bells beers called Oberon which is a very good summer wheat ale.

I like local too, I actually live about 5 minutes from one of the local breweries so I go out there often for tours and such. My fridge is usually a good mix of my local favorites (Revolver, Lakewood, St. Arnold) and National brands (Shipyard, Dogfish Head, Dixie, and Atwater). I keep a stock of Sam Adams Summer Ale around as well, my little guilty pleasure.

I live by a very local one too called Dragonmead. They do bottle their Final Absolution, Crown Jewels and Under the Kilt - Wee Heavy so it might be possible to find it outside of Michigan. I've actually seen their brewery referenced as one of the best on a beer blog from a guy who travels all over the world to taste fresh local beer.

Final Absolution is their version of a Belgian Trippel. While it's great in a bottle, nothing beats the tap. Especially filling a growler straight from the brewpub.

Now I know the Belgians take great pride in their beer and Trappist or Abbey beer straight out of Belgium is supposed to be the absolute best. But I would put this stuff up against a Chimay or Dilerium Tremens, any day of the week. And that's a pretty bold statement considering these are two very top notch beers.

Well, I've always liked Budweiser. I actually prefer it in the can to in the bottle (which is a pain when you go out to eat or to a bar, since nobody has the cans!).

When I'm in the mood for a change, I just add a little lemon juice.
You generally have to go to pretty rough dive bar to find beer in a can. Bars don't usually serve cans unless they are known for fighting.

Most of the music clubs around here serve it in a can. Or the bottle cans for the major inbev stuff.
Now that I think about it, it's the same here in both the bigger music clubs and sports venues. I saw Pearl Jam less then two weeks ago and all the adjunct lager like Bud, Miller and Molson was sold in a can. They did have a craft beer vendor but they had to pour it in a plastic cup for you.

On the subject of pumpkin beers has anyone tried the Shock Top Pumpkin Wheat? I had a few Shock Top Honeycrisp Apple Wheat beers last night and I really like it (I'm a big fan of fruity beers). For some reason I find the fruity ones help bring out the taste of a good e-juice.

I've not had that one. I don't care much for Shock Top.
