On tap for my palate tonight is Dogfish Head Palo Santo Maroon . It's a very dark brown ale that's aged in tanks made of Paraguayan Palo Santo wood. This wood gives it a beautiful complex flavor of caramel and vanilla. I only drink this during the cooler months; it's just too heavy for the summer months. One has to be careful with this wonderful brew as it comes in at 12% ABV. I made the mistake of drinking this like Budweiser the first time I drank it.
We were watching a football game and I wasn't paying attention to how much I was drinking. It's the last time I drank two 4 packs in one sitting.
