Hey Chaser!

I don't do RDAs, but I do build coils for my kayfuns. Don't have a mech mod, so I don't subohm. However, you might just try a simple 1 ohm coil to get your feet wet. You aren't going to know what you're going to like unless you start with something. Since you have three RDAs, you could even do something like a 0.5 ohm, 0.75 ohm and a 1 ohm.

One thing I don't see that you will be "using" is an ohmmeter ;) Please tell us that you have one and that you'll check your coils before you try to fire it?

Coil building for beginners is IMHO a simple single coil. You need to get used to wrapping and wicking. Once you get that figured out, sky's the limit :)

Ok so it really dont matter what rda dont have any of those. But would suggest start out with like a .7 build. Sorry I dont have the specs on the exact wraps. I know to get with a dual I do like 8-410 wraps 28 gauge booths sides its about.7
Hope this helps.

For your first coils I would suggest a micro coil. There are like a billion youtubes. Save the low ohm and fancy coils as somthing to look forward to after you can wrap micros in your sleep. If you hav not already got a coil calculator vapers toolbox for androids is avail on play store. If you do a single coil go for 1.5 or dual 0.7 or 0.8 would be a good starting spot.
Good luck and happy wrapping

oh yes i have that ohmmeter. i guess ill start to do above 1 ohm then.

I agree with the plume veil but I like to see beginners start with a single coil at or above one ohm checking it with an ohm meter or digital multimeter(dmm) wick using your choice abd stay away from high nicotine or citrus juices since they will hurt in an rda.

thanks for this info good thing i didn't buy any citrus juices.

Micro coils can be hard to wick properly when you are just starting out. They are a challenge even when you have some experience.

I would suggest you go for about a 1 ohm coil, until you find out if the heat is going to be agreeable or not. About 7-8 wraps of your 28 on a 3mm rod (if you have room in your RDA) on both coils should get you closish to 1ohm. You did`nt mention a ohm checker, you have to have a ohm checker to make sure you dont have a dead short, a dead short can be very disastrous if you don`t know what to expect. Someone who knows what to expect may get away without one, but some one that`s never done it before puts themselves in great danger.

I have a better idea, try going to a vape shop and ask them (money talks) to wind you some coils and make sure its safe for you, and ask as many questions as you feel are needed while watching them. If they don`t have the time for this, try another vape shop.

Good luck,
R
