There is no such thing as beginner / advanced. It comes down to how much effort you need to put in to get the result you want and what suits your needs and budget.

Ok, cool. This was my point of view as well. Even though this is my first time in the vape game, I do come from a background of tuning cars, and my mentality when I build up my cars is to buy the right parts the first time so you're not wasting money or messing anything up. That's why I was wondering if I can jump up right away to like an eVic or Provari or any other higher-end battery or mod since I don't mind spending the money up front the first time, rather than going through all these other MODs I didn't really want in the first place.

If you don't mind spending the money, it's Provari hands down. The eVic is new on the market, and no one knows how long it will last. It is also not accurate. Set the screen to 4.5 volts, and a meter will say it's 4.1, or 4.2. The Provari set to 4.5 volts will deliver 4.5 volts every time. Provari also has a better warranty, and if there is a problem, which is rare, it will be fixed quickly by Provari, no questions asked, or hassles.

Just so you know I have a very high learning curve and can pick up almost anything with no problems, so having a super hard to navigate menu like the evic isn't too much of a problem for me.

I actually think navigation is way easier with the evic than in mods with 1-button controls. People think the menu is complicated just because there are a lot of options, but navigation is a breeze and the screen makes it easy to understand what you're doing. I've only used the 1.2 firmware, but I think a lot of the impressions people have about it is from earlier versions. I got the evic after reading about the 1.2 update. There are definitely some faults in the evic, though, and it won't hold up to the same abuse some other mods can surely take.

Also, like someone else said, carto tanks aren't really much more complicated than anything else. And I have fewer issues with them than anything else. I use tanks made for standard size cartos rather than xls like the dct tanks take. For me, the standard sized cartos (35mm boges) perform better than xl cartos, and I think the standard sized tanks look better on all the PVs I own.
