Bells & Whistles have always lured people in droves. To each his own
Hmm it seems like having a VW isn't a necessity for me as a beginner, though it seems for super advanced vapers, they can't live without it. I guess VW wasn't as important as I thought, though VV is important to me because I like to vary how hard the vape will hit.
Anyone have any "beginner VV" batteries, as the only ones I'm familiar with are the ego twist and VAMO.

I absolutely endorse picking up an advanced mod and set up as your first device. I don't personally feel that there is that much of a difference in the learning curve between cartos and carts, or atties and all that between the beginner packages and advanced packages. I always encourage my real life friends who I get into vaping to start with a Saber Touch mod (which is my personal favorite) and it's very "advanced".
Personally? I never would have quit smoking on an ego alone and I know that. As long as you're willing to put the effort in, go for it =)
Another vote for starting with an eGo/Twist. It's a perfectly good and you can vape while reading the threads and configuring your dream set-up. If I had started out with an advanced mod I don't think I would have appreciated the benefits since I had nothing to compare to.
I recently put together an à la carte kit that is actually a little overkill, but it has lots of things to play with: One Joytech 1000mAh Twist $22.00; one Joyetech 650mAh Twist $19.00; one USB charger $4.50; one Vision vivi mini nova kit (comes with 2 extra heads) $9.50; one Kanger T3 $6.50; one Kanger replacement head for T3 $2.50; CE XL clearos (pack of 5) $8.50; three 6ml bottles of juice @ $3.00 each: $9.00; less 5% coupon. Total: $77.50 + shipping.
Not all of the delivery systems are necessary or others may be selected, this is just an example of what can be put together instead of getting a kit.
You should try to find a Spinner, it lasts longer
