Hey all,

I just order my first mod and decided to go with the KFL Plus. Ordered it from .......... so probably a clone, but crossing my fingers that it's decent quality.

Anyway, I've never built a coil before, so can someone who has a KFL Plus or even just a KFL walk me through what I should do? I'm looking for better flavor and battery life than vapor amount.

Here's the one I got btw: http://www............com/item/2014...Kayfun-Lite-Plus-RDA-Atomizer/1934093626.html

Thanks!

Welcome to ECF, Zenzin. Your link is non-fuctional, but clone KFL+s are either closely based on the Svoemesto design, or a 1:1 copy, so it's not all that much an issue.

There are some safety and knowledge concerns - regarding new builders - that will aid seasoned builders in assisting you.

The first question is... do you have a ohm meter? It can be a build box/Ω meter, a DMM or even a quality regulated APV... but without one, you can't verify the resistance of a build.
If you have one and know how to use it... great! If not, most responsible members won't share specific builds until you do have one.

The second question(s) is, what are you using for a mod... a regulated PV, or a unregulated mech mod? If the former, what is the peak wattage output? If the latter, what batteries (be specific) do you intend to use, and less important, what mod?

Third question... do you know a bit about Ohm's law formulas and battery safety? Although it's valuable to have knowledge regardless... these are more a concern with unregulated mechs than regulated PVs, as most PVs will shut down before you overheat the batteries or chipset.

Honest answers to the above will help pave the way for those interested in assisting you. ;-)

Links on this forum keep getting cut off... Let's try it the old fashioned way. If anyone can tell me how to properly link on this forum, it'd be appreciated. I even tried using .......... still gets cut off.

This is the atomizer I bought:

Kayfun Lite Plus RTA from ..........

And this is the PV:

Stingray X Mod SS RDA Full Mechanical Mod Clone Copper Vaporizer For 26650 battery from ..........

I'll be using these batteries:

MNKE IMR 26650 3.7V 3500mAh 30A MNKE 26650 lifepo4 battery from ..........

I'm assuming that the atomizer doesn't come with a "pre-built" coil right? So, in order for me to actually use this thing, I need to build a coil and make a wick.
I have no experience at all building coils and I don't have an ohm reader, but am willing to get one.

Thanks!

No idea why the link doesn't work when I post it. Let's try it the old fashioned way.

All your links go to "Server not found", for me. Don't replace letters with periods... might work better.

Typically, KFLs don't come pre-built, so yes, you will have to learn many things... for your safety and to obtain best performance from your equipment. ;-)

The server automatically puts periods every time I type "Ali3xpress" anywhere... bah.

I edited my posted to say just what I bought.

Watch pbusardo building the Russian 91 (same difference), starting at 19:50:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWrFsa6YOaE

This will show you the basic procedure, though he's building for a regulated device and you won't be. Someone else will need to advise you on a good first build for a mech (and do get an ohm meter).

Hi Everyone, I am in the same situation as the OP. I plan on getting a Kayfun Nano and don't know what kind of mod to get. I prefer one that has variable voltage and cylindrical. Is there one with a built in battery that I won't need to take out? I hardly ever vape below 1.5 ohms.
