Help with coil build on a Kayfun Lite Plus

Hi guys and gals,

I've just received my kayfun Lite Plus, I've tried building several coils and none of them will register on the itaste vv version 3, I've tried following several youtube videos on how to build it and I don't know what I'm doing wrong (I am a complete noob at building btw) It won't even register the prebuilt coils that came with the kayfun. I've enclosed some pics to show the coil how I have it on there, any help would be greatly appreciated (also don't laugh too much at me if it's something really stupid )

I don't, the itaste vv should read anything above 1.2 ohms. 10 wraps of .30 kanthal should be well above that, right?

It sounds to me like you need to adjust your 510 pin. It sounds like it is just not making contact with the mod. Make sure your lead going to the positive block is not touching the negative block and viceversa as well to make sure you don't have a short.

Your 10 wraps of 30 gauge should be safe, but you should not rely on your mod for metering your builds, especially in future if you start building lower resistance.
Do as Holcomb suggests, make sure your leads are clear of the opposite posts and that your coil isnt touching the posts either. Ensure that the coil is a couple of mm off the deck also.

Thanks for the replies, turns out It was the pin working nicely now.

and I will be getting an ohms meter because I likely will want to build lower resistance coils when my mechanical arrives thanks for the advice

A lot of times with me if the airflow screws are out just a bit it won't make contact with the MVP. Make sure that the screw are flush and try that also if it happens again.

That's a lite. If you start messing with the bottom 510 screw you will unscrew the positive block and risk a short.
Since you're using a vv3, gently pulling the brass pin on the mod side will make things work without needing to fiddle with the atty's connection.
