Beginner here - Looking for easy, for now...

I'm looking for ease to start off with. Would it work to buy, say, 120 ml of 36mg nic in PG and mix it with 120 ml of VG would I come out with a 240 ml of 18mg 50/50 that I could then flavor as I see fit? I assume that the 18mg would fluctuate a bit with the added flavorings but I can live with a little difference. It seems right to me but I don't trust my menopausal brain...
