Beginner needs help taking the next step :)

Hi guys,
I am currently using a very basic Halo Triton clearomizer setup. I also purchased a VV battery for it and quite like it. The thing is after doing a lot of reading I know there are much better options out there and I am looking to go something with 510 threading as opposed to the 808 of the Triton.

I want to take the next step and I think I've narrowed it down to either the Itaste MVP2.0 or the Eleaf iStick.
The clearomizer I'm looking at going with is either the nautilus (normal) or the Nautilus Mini.

Any advice would be hugely appreciated!

I'm thinking the iStick would be better being smaller but I'm a bit worried about it's longevity compared to the MVP2.
I'm also stuck whether to go the Nautilus normal or mini to pair them with. The Triton tank holds 2.8ml which is a good amount, from what I can see the Nautilus Mini holds 2ml. I'm inclined to go with the big Nautilus tank but wondered if it would look ridiculous perched on an iTaste? Would probably look fine on the MVP2.

Last thing, I'm assuming this combo would vape a LOT better than my Triton and help me enjoy it a lot more? Only been off the analogue cigs for a couple of weeks.

Thanks in advance guys! Sorry if I posted in the wrong section.....there are so many! :)

I vote for the istick and nautilus mini. I have both Nautilus and the mini really seems to put out more flavor. They are suppose to be coming out with an MVP 3 soon. You might want to wait for that.

Thanks for the advice Rourke!
Is that pic with the Mini? If so I think the regular Nautilus would look too big on it! That setup looks nice though :)
Leaning towards the iStick now

Yes that 1st pic was the mini. Here is the big, mini, and Aspire ET-S. I think the big one looks too big. I still use my Halo Tritons too. Good luck.

Thanks that's awesome! Helped make up my mind! I think I will definitely go the Mini. Never even heard of the ET-S, it never ends! haha
I do like the Triton but the coils get gunky so fast! I only have vaped Halo e-liquid so far which I quite like (Torque 56, Freedom Juice and Tribecca)
Does the coil do the same with the Mini? As in, do they require a lot of maintenance and cleaning? Should I order some spare coils as well?
Sorry for all the questions and thanks for your help :) I really appreciate all the advice!

No problem, my pleasure. As much as I like Halo juices I do think they taste best in Trition tanks. I tried my favorite Halo Juice, Twisted Java, in the Nautilus mini it was not as good as it was in my Trition. That is not saying that the mini or the juice is not good. Only that Halo products work best together, IMHO.

ET-S is another Aspire tank. They vape very well. Even if you get a Naut mini, which is a very nice tank, the ET-S is a much less expensive tank so you could buy a couple of them. Just be sure you're getting the ET-S glass. The regular ET-S has a plastic tank. The glass is more durable and provides a better taste experience, imo.

Hi. The mini does look good on the iStick, but the tank is small. I'm refilling it a lot. The bigger nauty works great as well.

You'll get better vapor from them and the iStick, but I really like the flavor from my Triton, especially with Halo liquids.

And yes, you'll need coils for the naughtys. Make sure you get nautilus BVC coils, not the nautilus BDC coils.

This 101vape.com has a good deal on the big nautilus. Buy it, it comes with 2 coils, and they toss in 2 more, so 4 coils with the tank for $22

Genuine ASPIRE Nautilus - 101 Vape

And the best deal on coils for the Triton are here, Kanger T2 Sunfire 70mm Long Wick Replacement Atomizer Coils 5-Pack - VapingME.com. Identical to Halo coils, and a quarter of the price at $3 for a 5 pack.

No the coils do not require a lot of maintenance. In fact I think even running them under water makes them not taste as good. So I try and stick with similar juices unti I burn up the coil because the flavor will linger. On average the coils last me 2 to 3 weeks with pretty heavy vaping. I would pick up an extra 5 pack of coils, that should last you a while. Just make sure they are the BVC(bottom vertical coil) and not the BDC(bottom dual coil).

I have heard that. Very interesting :) I'll be hanging onto the Halo as spares anyway hehe

Thanks for the tip, I'll be sure to look for the glass version ET-S for a few spares.

If you want to "upgrade" your juices as well, try Nicoticket. You won't be disappointed.
Oh, and hearty congrats for quitting the combustibles (tobacco)!

Thanks a lot Dog! Feeling pretty good already :) Love that I don't stink anymore! I will give that juice a go, thanks for the heads up. I may be able to get that a little cheaper and quicker than the Halo juice. Being in AUS makes it hard sometimes.

Is there any 'soaking' or techniques I should know about with the Nautilus Mini before first use? Sounds like the instructions aren't great! haha

to add another note, if you want/choose to use your Triton Tanks on the I-stick (if you buy it) you can pick up one of these...good job on quitting the analogs!
510 to 901/808-D Adapter

edit: just received info that this adapter might NOT fit the Triton tanks, so it's a toss-up!

Yes there is a "soaking" period before firing up the Nautilus tank. Pretty sure it is the same for the mini. Fill the tank, tighten the bottom hardware on, close the air hole, turn over. Open the air hole to the largest one. Let sit about 2 minutes. After that take a couple of hits without firing. Now you should be ready to go. You need to let the coil prime otherwise you'll have a nasty taste, burnt coil taste until it's primed.
