I've been vaping for about two years and I've never been able to part with the empties. I had to overcome a serious hording tendency just to through out about half of the plastics. I guess I always knew I'd start mixing my own some day. There is actually a trash bag full in my shed.

Well I don't have a hording tendency (I'm just cheap), but I have kept the empty bottles from when I was buying ready made juice, though I did that for a sorter period of time than you (a matter of a couple of months vs a couple of years). Provided that the bottles are clean you should have no problems. I wash mine out with hot water--and lots of it.

Wizard Labs for flavorings, Nic and supplies.
Another is RTS Vapes, I prefer Wizard, but RTS carries some stuff that Wizard doesn't and they claim their Nic is 100% US made.
Essential Depot for VG and PG

Nicotine should last a year in coolish, dark room temperatures and probably for many years if frozen. PG and VG from ED have "use by" dates two years out. Flavorings should be good for a year, freezing not recommended for flavorings.

ETA: you should come in well under 33 cents/ml even counting one-time start-up supplies.

I was wondering that as well. If you got a 50/50 nic base and added ?(10%) flavor, you'd basically be cutting back the nic and vg by (guess) slightly less than 10% and upping the PG since that's what flavors usually float in. To me, it just seemed simpler to get 60% nic in PG and a bottle of VG to cut it with. My goal is 50/50 @ 25-30mg so ( and correct me If I'm wrong) 10ml base + 8ml VG + 2ml flavor = 20 mil at close to 50/50 and ~30mg. Since the flavor is PG base the PG|VG would be more like 55|45, but I'm not PG sensitive, I just like the feel and vapor production of 50/50 that I get from TVR.

MBV has bottles that you can get that already have the PV/VG mix with nicotine. All you have to do is add your flavor, shake and wait. Great prices too. My order should be in the mail today. Can't wait to start my own mixing.

If you want to reduce your Nic it is very easy with dyi. Reduce 2 mg a month or so and you will not even notice
