My NT family, part of quitting an addiction for me is to hold myself accountable for my actions. I fell off the wagon a few weeks ago but put myself firmly back on it 3 weeks ago today. I've changed my counter to reflect this and want to thank you all for the continued support and showing me that there really is a life without cigarettes and it really can be enjoyable with great juice and great people lifting me up when I fall. I love you, one and all. <3

As with any habit or addiction that we try to break, relapses and setbacks are just a part of the process. Keep your eye on the goal and recognize that a slip up doesn't undo the progress you've made. Keep on keepin' on, one day after the next. I commend you for being open and sharing. Onward and forward!

ASH, we are with you all the way! Cigarettes are the hardest, most demonic things to just stop doing. There's no magic cure. I have quit at least 10 times before and always fell back, even worse than before I quit. Even vaping isn't a guarantee, but it's the thing that seems to have finally broke cigarette's grip on me. Not just the vaping, but the best support anyone could hope to have right here. We are but weak humans and prone to fail, but all we can do is get up and try again! We are all with you. You can do it :)

Just a little oopsydaisy. Youll have to go to lunch detention for a week but other than that I think youll be OK (that actually happened to me in High School when I got caught smoking at school. Week of lunch detention SMH. I was actually smoking cloves, cuz it was the '80s lol)

Keep your head up girl, we got your back!

Hey Girl ~ I often feel bad for people when I read post like yours. It's hard for me to see this as falling off the wagon. What's important [IMO] is the amount of cigarettes not smoked. As an adult if you smoke one or more that's fine. Don't kick yourself or feel guilty for being human.

Being held accountable is just as important in allowing yourself to forgive yourself. You slipped but did not stay laying in the mud but picked yourself up and kept on moving. We ALL can relate, we ALL are going through this fight to get away from cigs, we ALL have to admit to ourselves we are just as able to slip in the mud as you have and with the strength of our family we can muddle through one way or the other to keep ourselves cig free. Good for you ASH!!! *HUGS*

ASH, as I have been told several times,"..... happens". For some reason cigarettes seem to be the hardest addiction to beat. Drugs?alcohol? No problem (of course I have no first hand knowledge, just been told;))

I hate to give advice when not asked, but....

Get over it, you screwed up, the earth continued to spin, now just continue with what works for you.

And, congratulations on 3 weeks....Mike

Awe. Don't be so hard on yourself. I think I would have fallen off the wagon a few times had cigarettes tasted more like Frenilla. After I started vaping I tried a cigarettes a week later after quitting and yuck. I put it out and haven't had another in almost a year. After tasting all the delicious flavors vaping offers I just can't force myself to taste a yucky cigarette again.

Just remember, like one of the other posted, count how many you haven't smoked. That's the important thing. You are back vaping and that's the most important of all! :toast:

It's all about being true and accountable to yourself. I totally get that. Only one time have I thought about smoking "because there's no one here to see me" but then realized I would know and I'm the one that counts! Yesterday was a day where I wouldn't have cared who saw me at the moment but I made it. One day at a time and every day is a journey in this non-smoking world. Good job on jumping back on the train! Many fall off and don't get back on so be proud of yourself for that. :)

Congratulations on your 3 weeks.

Celebrate each success and forget about the hard times. Every step you take is a life changing event and the journey is not easy but you can beat the addiction. I will not bore you will my story but if I can make it anyone can. Your honesty and determination has put you on a path for success and I commend you for it. Take every opportunity to tell the world how well you are doing and be proud of each single day.

I wish you the very best
