ASH, just want you to take a quick look at the date I joined the ECF forum! Now look at my NT banner! The dates tell the story of my struggles and challenges with quitting cigs. What I can tell you, is that I could backslide at any time of any day, but this family that has been formed for all of us is what a true family is all about. True families love unconditionally, are not judgmental, and we support one another! I can't tell you how many times your posts have supported my journey, so I say, don't kick yourself. Continue your journey with all of us and focus on all the cigs you have NOT smoked! Lots of love lady!

When I am at my worst emotionally I picture myself smoking and vaping at the same time. Then I think of what Clark said way back at the beginning when someone was really struggling with not having a cig, "Please don't. I would cry, I mean it. It would break my heart. "

And by god, I can't stand the thought of Clark crying!!!!

There's not much I can add on to what everyone has already said but I can lend a hand if needed anytime. I'm a relatively "new" quitter and if course after enough tequila on July 4th, I had a cig. It tasted like crap and I wanted to beat myself up but realized in the bigger picture that's ONE in months of smoking none and I used to be a pack a day. I've had little breakdowns like that over the past few months from my initial quit date. I'm not even sure what real date to use or if I start over. The things we want the most in life, for me, tend to be the hardest. So, I'm choosing to forgive myself and still be able to pat myself on the back knowing for 2 months I've not smoked 60 packs and instead smoked 1-2 cigarettes. I'm sure everyone here has had their challenges and it's great to have such a wonderful big family that is full of encouragement. I admire you for having the strength to be honest and the perseverance to know it's just an obstacle that is in your past!

I love you all so very much. Thank you for the words of love and encouragement, you have no idea how this lifts me and puts me back on firm ground. With you all to help there is nothing I can't do. Honestly, I've never been part of any forum that has been this full of love, laughter, support and encouragement. Strength in numbers. ((((((((((Nicoticket family))))))))))

Ash, can I ask what strength nicotine are you vaping? I know on many of the threads here members are saying they are down to 6 mg. or even 0 mg When you're new to vaping, I think the higher strengths are more effective for helping with the cravings. Chain vape 12 or 18 and that should help. I've recently stepped down to 12 after mostly doing 18 for over 2 years. I still vape from the time I get up in the morning until bedtime. Good luck! You can do it!

I started off at 12 but dropped to 6 because I drip more than anything and 12 on a dripper for me is way too harsh. I probaby should have a 12 around for those times when I'm really jonesing for a cig.

ASH, Not a single one of us can claim that we have a halo floating over our heads. The ones who do are only fooling themselves. We all stumble at times.

A very great man once told me " Never be shy or ashamed."

You have the complete support of the family here and none of us are going to think any less of you for a slight hiccup.

Stay strong! and hold your head up high! We are all only human and none of us are infallible.

I, for one have all the faith in the world towards you and I am sure that goes for the rest of the family as well.

Nothing but love for you sweetie!

( P.S Cool kitties!) :)

OMG THAT IS HORRIBLE TERRIBLE AWFUL !!!!! that you feel the need to apologize. All you've really done is proved you're human. You smoked and now you're back to vaping. Good job! Hang in there and here where people will support you and your efforts whether you fall off the wagon or not.

Sheila I could hug you my damn self! BIG HIGH 5!!!!!!!!!! :)
Can't like this post enough!!!

No need to apologize. I fell off the wagon so many times I quit counting. Nicotine patches, gum, Chantix(worse thing ever!!!), and 4 years of ecigs and smoking at the same time and finally was able to break the cycle a few months back. We all have challenges and events in our lives that make things difficult. I know you can do it and as you can see from all of the replies, you have a huge support group available.

I have not put up the counter yet as I am still smoking cigarettes but not to the extent that I was before I found out about vaping and started this journey 2 months ago. I will put up the counter when I have put down the cigarettes. I may fall off the wagon as well because I am human and this is a 37 year addiction for me! Hang in there! You can do it!

I fell off too! It's been almost two years! I haven't updated my banner yet to subtract four cigs from total avoided  I found out something REALLY cool though....I bought a pack, of course they never give me the right ones, ever in 35+ years, smoked four and put them in my purse. I haven't touched them since and that was June 28! It was a very stressful weekend as we were visiting my in laws in Florida at a retirement home and yes staying there also in a hotel room for guests.....first five minutes 'she' was all over me saying she smells tobacco! Yes the dreaded not allowed tobacco! Sigh it was Doodle. Let her smell it and yes that is it! Tobacco! Sooooooo needless to say I spent the next two days in the hotel room vaping my little heart away lol. Then my protank broke :(....that is when I got the cigs......I went to Fuzion Vaper since we were near them and bought a new aerotank and then I was back in business vaping....cigs still not touched but they are there and I don't even care! Today at lunch on my way out the door I dropped and broke my new aerotank.......so mad.....trying to get these mini 2's to last until I can get home at 5. :)

My NT family, part of quitting an addiction for me is to hold myself accountable for my actions. I fell off the wagon a few weeks ago but put myself firmly back on it 3 weeks ago today. I've changed my counter to reflect this and want to thank you all for the continued support and showing me that there really is a life without cigarettes and it really can be enjoyable with great juice and great people lifting me up when I fall. I love you, one and all. <3

Gosh, Ash, you quit smoking TWICE. That takes more to accomplish than many of us would be able to do.

As my grandmother always says: If you try and fail, then try again; the first one was just a practice run. It is only when you don't get up and try again that you have anything to be ashamed of.
