Here's a question that just occurred to me. I'm starting to get a head cold (sinus pressure, sniffles, sneezing, coughing, etc). Normally, I would keep on smoking right through it, and what a bad decision that always is. More restricted breathing, aggravated cough, hacking up stuff from lungs even more - I'm sure a lot of you have been there too. I'm making my switch to ecigs tomorrow (if it arrives), and was curious if anyone has experience with vaping and being sick? Does it still aggravate anything or make symptoms worse? Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

i think if you drink plenty of water (which you should anyway when sick) then you will be fine

Like they said, drink lots of water. I didn't drink enough when I first started vaping, and I made my throat hurt a little bit over time. I upped my water intake and things got a lot better.

Shouldn't be a problem. In fact..it might offer some comfort! lol! I've read here on ECF here and there that some people say that PG actually can help kill germs and that hospitals put it in their air systems. Dunno if that's true, but it sounds encouraging to me. Also PG can help dry dripping sinus discharge. And while you might have some throat irritation, chances are you are going to have that anyway, and vaping shouldn't really hurt anything.

Just go easy. Drink lots and lots of fluids (non caffeinated or alcoholic) and rest. Don't try for marathon hits. Be good to yourself. Good luck!

Menthol vape has been recommended to me before vaping. Just another thing to consider is if you can't breathe through your nose, you really can't taste your vape. I've considered keeping an unflavoured juice around just for such times but last time I was sick I just vaped on a few of the juices I didn't care for... So, same concept really.

This is true! My aunt is a nurse and some hospitals do indeed put PG in the air vents as a air purification agent. I hypothesize that it would indeed help your respitory system. I might actually purchase a menthol vape for just this reason.

* I don't know why the quote didnt work :p
