Being Verified

I don't have time to go through all the threads to probably find the answer. What is the deal with needing to be verified to purchase? I don't understand this. I want to spend my money on things people are offering and I can't because I'm not verified. I just don't get it.

It is what it is. The site owners want no "fly by night" sellers and this was a way to get it done...

It gives both the buyers and sellers protection against fraud. Before the verification process was put in place, there were several reports every month about scammers ripping off ECF members. Since the process was made mandatory, there have been ZERO incidents. Keep in mind that ECF is private property, and we must adhere to the rules of the house, whether we agree with them or not.
