New to ECF really confused on the beginners restrictions any help welcomed!

So i am new to ecf i joined because i found link to an awesome looking home made carto tank. The thread is by a supplier and i want to purchase one but i can't figure out how to message him or contact him at all. i read the beginners forum rule section and from what i got, i need to post 5 threads before messaging people? can someone please verify if this is right?

Go say "welcome" to a few other newbies and wait a bit. It can take up to an hour for a "refresh" to happen where it pays attention to your post count.

Posts are not the same as threads. So you have two posts so far in this thread (post 1 and post 3).

So your replies to others count....assuming you post in areas that are "countable". Some are not...like social areas..."The lounge", etc.

Alright well thanks for your help hopefully i can message people soon. The tank i saw was made of titanium and fit flush on the Vamo v2 that i have. I have yet to find any other tank that does, so i am eager to see if i can get a hold of this one. Check it out you may like this looks great
