I'd read the warnings about getting ejuices on our skin, and believed them -- but didn't understand how seriously to take them.

My very first shipment of ejuice (18mg) must have been damaged in transit. The bottles had been placed in a ziplock baggie in the box, but one (or both, I'm not sure) had leaked a LOT during shipping. The bottles and inside of the bag were heavily coated in juice, to the point that the printing on the labels had dissolved, smeared, and was almost illegible. So I unpacked the bottles and washed them.

I did not wear gloves while doing this, and naturally got the stuff all over my hands. Eager to try out my new juice, I loaded a cart and vaped it. Shortly after this, I had clear signs of a nicotine overdose. I was sick as a dog. At first, I thought that 18mg was simply way too potent for me.

I waited until I felt healthy again (almost 2 days), then mixed down the juice to 8mg. That wasn't cutting it for me, and over the next week or so, I kept increasing the nic level until i found what worked.

It's 18mg.

It only occurred to me afterwards what had really happened: it wasn't that the nic juice was too strong for me, it was that I had absorbed it through my skin when washing those bottles!

So, to my fellow newbies out there: take the warnings about handling the nic juice SERIOUSLY. It's not a joke.

This might explain why my new 18ml juice made me feel sick last night. I got my first bottle of juice last night in the mail, and started refilling my empties with the carto condom method. Being my first time, it wasn't exactly a neat job.

I thought the juice was just way too strong last night, but today every carto I've tried seems to be fine.
I'll be more careful in the future. :)
