I am very confused here. I have searched all over the Vapornine website to find out what model of e-cig the Nebula is, and all that can be found is "V9". Likewise, the Sticky in this sub-forum is titled "Introducing the new V9".

However, I watched GrimmGreen's video review of the Nebula, and he specifically said it is a KR808D-1.

So, I searched this sub-forum for "KR808", and all I found were two posts (neither by Ben/Vapornine), one of which was (once again) by GrimmGreen:

the model is a KR808D-1 , it can NOT be used with red dragon products , Bloogplanet or loong totem v9 models (smoke51) it's compatible with the vaporking from vapor4life , "the Easy" from cigeasy.com and the cartomizers that nHaler.com sells

...but this confuses me even more since he says it "can NOT be used with... v9 models". I have a Vapor4Life Vapor King, so from watching GrimmGreen's video and seeing the cartomizer, I do believe it is a "KR8" (and I thank you, GrimmGreen, for your great work!). (Plus, I read a post in which Ben refers to Vapor4Life as his "nemesis", so that would seem to confirm it.)

But Ben, will you please confirm what model this is? Also, what size is it? (Your "nemesis" has 3 different sizes)

And may I suggest adding a Nebula FAQ sticky to this sub-forum that answers all of these questions (and more)? You know, with more specifics than the FAQ on your website (i.e. "How does it work?", "Can I use my Vapornine anywhere?", "How long does a cartridge last?")

THANKS!

Haha, I saw this like a week ago but didn't chime in since somebody was kind enough to do so already :)

V9=VaporNine

Ben

But Ben, everyone else is saying it's a KR808D-1, which you still haven't confirmed. So is it or is it not? And while I figured out V9 is short for VaporNine, is 'V9' just a model name you came up with for your own brand?

And, again, how long is it, please?

Tis a KR8... heres a handy little chart that someone did that's kinda helpful in determining whats compatable with what Brand and Model Compatibility Chart - E-Cigarette Wiki

Case in point, there's no V9 model on that chart... but it does say the Nebula is compatible with the KR808D-1.

I was taking that as V9 is short for vapornine just like puresmoker brands their stuff with a PS or said nemisis shortens their full name down to V4L followed by model (in this case Nebula) ...I think theres a posibility that the earlier mention of V9 models may have been a typo of E9 models as the chart does denote that as compatable with smoke51 and the nebula being not compatable with those would make sense...but that stretches to speculation..

I think your speculation is absolutely correct, as I've been trying to get some information on another thread about KR8's, and DonDaBoomVape said this:

Further clarification: KR808D-2 (or simply D-2) is the name LeCig gives the E9 model (e.g., Green Smoke, Smoke51 DUO, Loong Totem, Vapure, Red Dragon...)

So I believe the mystery is solved. This was just very frustrating, as I addressed my question to Ben (the Company) and when he finally responded he didn't even answer any of my questions. Meanwhile, this same week I was sending multiple e-mails to another e-cig company (not on ECF) asking them what model their cartomizer e-cig is and they wouldn't tell me (still haven't)... first response was that it "is not actually the Kr808d-1 although I am fairly sure it is compatible"...so, of course, I ask again what the model it is, and after two e-mails get "although we did carry the KR808D-1 model we have since switched to a different product. It is compatible with that model but it is not the same." I have since sent my 4th e-mail trying to get an answer and, naturally, no response. I know that has nothing to do with VaporNine, but getting the runaround from both companies (4 e-mails to them; now 4 posts here) in the same week when I've only been asking very simple questions could drive a man to smoke an analog!! :-x It's as if I'm asking for trade secrets 8-o... except none of them are!!

Speaking of not a secret, could someone just measure their Nebula for me?? sheesh

Thank you all for your help.

Due to the deafening silence in this thread, I thought I might be able to find some solid answers on this other thread:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/kr808d-1/56806-non-kanger-kr808d-1-battery-lecig-com.html

Well, if you read through that mess, you'll see all that did was add to the confusion.

And this statement certainly doesn't help with the lack of clarity I've received here:

...the Nebula WAS a KR808D-1, but I read that he was switching to an identical model not made by Kanger.

Of course, Leaford doesn't work for VaporNine.
BEN is VaporNine.
So, anytime you want to clear all of this up, BEN, it would be greatly appreciated!!!!

You will see in that other thread that I'm not the only one seeking clarification from you:
... I didnt really understand it very well... I hope Ben from Vapornine can explain the confusion!...

THANKS!

p.s. and please don't answer with "V9=VaporNine" again... as I said in that other thread, that is about as helpful as saying "Coke=Coca-Cola"

It is compatible with KR-808d, but our current auto batteries indeed come from another manufacturer that is not KR/Kanger where the original KR808 model name comes from.

Ben

Okay, that helps, thank you. But compatible with which one? D-1 or D-2? Apparently, the KR808D-1 and KR808D-2 are incompatible, so your battery must only be compatible with one of those, correct?

(I assume at this point that the conclusion that "V9" is your branding is correct... and that I should just give up asking specifically what model it is... for now, I guess it shall simply remain A Model "from another manufacturer that is not KR/Kanger")

Also, how long is a Nebula?

Thanks.

~120mm assembled. We stock KR cartridges but our auto switch batteries are from somebody else (we had them custom make them, don't believe they sell to anybody else but they are the same threads/compatible with the KR808D-1)

the D-1 and D-2 refers to the length of the battery I believe, with the D-1 being longer than the D-2
