Bendy Reo illusion?

Maybe it's just me.

But sometimes I squonk by passing my Reo to my left hand, so my index and middle finger are supporting it from behind, and my thumb is over the squonkport.

When I squonk like that, it sometimes *really* feels like the back of the Reo is all rubbery and bendy. As in, the first time I had to look down, turn it over, and prod it a few times to convince myself it hadn't melted or something. Normally I think happens more when my fingers are flatter against the back of it.

It's completely bizarre.

From what you are experiencing, I would say you got into some non-standard mushrooms. Not that there is anything wrong with that...

In other news, I have actually never squonked with my thumb. My Reomizers, when tight, both have the airholes pointed towards the catch cup side, so I have always squonked with my pinky. I like the idea of a melty Reo, though so I might have to go with a different o-ring under the atty so that I can get all groovy with it.

See I actually hold it detonator style, switch with the thumb, air hole pointed downwards towards the button. Never seen the issue...

If the bottle's full I can squonk with my fingers, but it doesn't work so well when it's emptying.

I know exactly what you are talking about happening.

I have used REO's for almost 3 years. It has happened to me on more than one occasion.

Have never turned it over to see if my REO was bendy.

Never gave it too much thought as to why it happens.

Over time I think I just don't think about it when it occurs.

Just wanted you to know you are not the only one that perceives this illusion.

It also happens to me with the wood REO's. Not just the metal. Leads me to believe it is how our mind perceives the action between our fingers and our thumb while holding a stable object against our fingers and a object that gives against our thumb.

I know exactly what you are saying. Everytime I use my left hand on my Grand it starts to morph. Whats strange is that it never happens with my Woodvil. I took this pic yesterday. Usually its not as pronounced as this.

Also, I just wanted you all to know that this happened to me when I was like 16. I was laying on my bed and I could of SWORN I was pushing my wall further into the next room.
