take two peices of 2 ohm wire and now you have one ohm with twice the surface area contacting the wick.

i never understood it either i would just use more or less wraps to create my desired ohm. I think it would make things more difficult, harder to wrap, gets gunky, yeah i think it would be more hassle than its worth unless someone posts something that gives a good reason to do this. Just to lower your ohms sounds wonky to me.
I've been twisting 32g for my AGAT+ because its the biggest wire I've got on hand. Running a 1.2 ohm coil of it at 3.8v on the Provari. It's doing much better than a single strand of 32g. Not ideal but it does work. Also I think it's easier to work with than single strand of 32g. Might not be the case with 28-30g wire though.
i have enough trouble getting a single wire thru the holes in my RBA - i think using two would send me insane! I use 32 AWG kanthal.
I think some rba's require it.
Don't hold me to this, but I recently ordered a Terminator Mini top feed rba & need to purchase 'no resistance pure silver wire' to wrap/braid with the standard kanthal wire, in order to make a wick.

that is different its not braided together, you add the NR wire to the end of the resistance wire leads.
in truth i cant really see a difference beyond adding surface area. which in theory should increase vapor output.
It seems to help when fighting against hot legs, too. For RBAs like the AGA-T whose which hole is 3 miles away from the positive post, something about the twisting makes the coils heat up in the right spot.
