I just had an idea and would try it myself if i had the right wire but is anyone familiar with macrame or making a basic hemp necklace?

Maybe some knot work with 32 ga around a 24-28 ga?

Would be time consuming but very interesting.

I'll have to do a google, is it a single wire core with a sheaf of braid you're thinking?

I have the wire. It is nor a bad idea to try. I will give it a shout in the next few days abs post up the results

Just found this thread. I've been doing the same thing but not pulling the braided wire tight. I end up with this.

Both of the pics are in mid heat up. I call it the Chaos Coil for obvious reasons. :)

Looking good!!!.. :) .. I've been preferring the looser braid too, it sort of act's like ribbon but with holes in it, the problem is that once you get good at braiding and work out the knack then the next step is to start braiding faster which give's tighter braid, i'm still undecided if the tight braid acts similar to twisted ...

just put the quad braided 32ga into one of the kayfuns.....had triple 32 twisted before...both at .8ohms
this rocks!!!
the vapor is definately there.....flavor is spot on!...lights quick...only if i can get my daughter to braid it!!!....lol
awesome!!!

Hahaha yeah if you can get the kid's to do it for you.. my kids are too busy with their own stuff... I sat out in the sun today and braided a foot of it, total satisfaction :D ... normally I strip 4x 7inches worth of wire to braid which get's me two coil's, have to keep untangling the wire if I try making to much all in one length ...

I find the tighter braid more prone to hot spots, where as the looser braid seems prone to cool spots. Regardless, it's a good way to cook juice. :)

The experimenting go's on...

this is the first time i've tried braid on ekowool...
3wrap
3mm ID
.4Ω

Just like ribbon is good with silica or ekowool, so is the braid, only the braid is better... my battery was down to 3.8v and normally i'd be noticing a drop off in flavour and would be thinking of reaching for a fresh battery but no the flavour and vapour is still kicking strong...:)

hey dugga! :) are you running on a vv/vw device?

I gotta be honest with you, i've never seen any hotspots the whole time i've used it it just fire's up fast and glow's all the way across the coil, i'm running on a mech :)

I tried a simple 3 braid with 30g, I did up about 2 feet and had like 5in that was usable lol i
I did 7 wraps 2mm ID I think it was .75 ohm
Great flavor and vape. But I Just got my first mech a nemesis clone so iv been trying lots of diffrent sub ohm coil builds lol, ATM I have a dual triple twistid 30g at .5ohm.
I used to make hemp necklaces with a 5braid and a twisted 5 braid might have to look into it some time. I don't have much time for coils building AtM....

I've braided a few long length's of wire myself but i always get on better just braiding 6inches of it at a time, you will get 2 coil's from that, maybe 3. :)

hey slippy:
just did a quad 28ga braid 3/32 id 4 wrap .16ohm duals on the storm-a
dont have my camera with my cause im at work, but man it sure is awesome!
normally i stay around .3 on it cause of the heat(its my flavor rda).
but this thing still has great flavor, loads of clouds(for a storm-a)
the heat is very tollerable.......
like it!!!!

thats equivalent to 24g :) ima try this as soon as my new multimeter arrives, i might even try a diamond coil with it aswell, if that will work  ...

keep up the goodwork, try post some pics if you get a chance :)

put quad 28ga braided in the tobh today.
have to say its freakin awesome.
1/8id...4 wraps .18ohms
i like this sooo much better than 22ga. no ramp up time...no let down time....flavor is better...vapor is better....thicker
its even a cooler vape...i believe because the heat is spread out and the intake air cools it more efficiently.
i get more surface area and lower ohms than using bigger wire.....what is there not to like?

to get the leads in the holes, i took two sets of pliers and twisted the leads down to about the size of 22ga...worked great!
