I want to upgrade to an EGO or RIVA in the next few weeks.

It seems that Cartos are much more popular on here when using PV like an Ego. I am guessing that atomizers and refillable carts will work on the ego, but why move to cartomizers?

I do not like the idea of the cartos being "disposable" so wouldnt it be more economical in the log run?

I know that dripping is the best, but I dont want to be dripping all the time. I look like a junkie at work dripping all the time. I have seen some ideas for no filler cart mods that look intriguing, and would be ideal for me. I dont really even want to be dripping at home. I have 2 toddlers, and dont really want them seeing me drip liquid into my ecig.

Thanks all!

I went on a cart filler buying binge for a couple of days. Started out with the marine something or other blue foam u filter, found a 3 pack but it was not wicking properly. No juice was flowing. Found a white one more fiberous than polyfill, but airy, and did not work much better than poly fill, then discovered the tea bag mod.

PTB mod works the best. I wish I could say I did not chain vape, but I do right now. Hopefully it will taper off, but still collecting juices.

Sounds like the ego will take either so will have to get some low res atomizers and cartomizers and try it all out.

I would love to come up with a zero fill mod that is a breakthough. I love tinkering with stuff.

Thanks all, much appreciated

Bag all of these carts, I'm surprised people are still even using them when the cool drip tips that are out these days are way better and dripping is the best tasting way to vape besides bottom feeder and AVS units, but really with Ego's & Rivas you guys need to really try drip tips, I would bet I get as many good hits out of 7-8 drops down the shoot as many get with there carts and it taste way better with a thicker better vape too

Your pleasure will be just that - yours.

Cartomizers are my favorite way to vape. For me, I like the flavor the best, and they're convenient. And properly maintained, they can last for quite a while. I have 3 cartos from my original kit (bought over 2 months ago) that have been washed 3 or 4 times and still vape well. And they're cheaper than atties, so there's that to factor in.

I find dripping annoying, and don't do it unless I only have a tiny bit of a flavor left and don't want to dedicate a carto or a cart to it. When I use atties, I still use carts most of the time.

So, try stuff. See what you like.

When I direct drip, I
read 3 drops is the right way to do it. Does a drip tip allow you to put more drips in there without flooding the atty?

I will invest in a couple of cartomizers, but I have about 8 working attys so I may as well use them until they break. I dont mid filling carts. but dripping all the time is a pain for me.

Hey Mistress, do you use the Tea Bag Mod in your cartos?

I have always used atomizers and dripped up until recently. I bought some cartomizers and they lasted 2-3 days. I was having problems with atomizers dying in 1-2 days and decided cartomizers would be cheaper and I don't have to drip as much. I was spending around $90 on atomizers each month and I can get enough cartomizers for a month for less than $30.

I use cartomizers because of the convenience. You can get prefilled (but don't taste as good as filling your own blanks IMO) or fill your own before going to bed and be set to use the next day. Depending upon how much you vape, you may need to add a few drops during the day but that's all there is to it.

All good points. Atomizers die too, and at unexpected times which I hated. That and messing with filler, dripping, etc. Just too much hassle to be part of an everyday routine for me. Some people like that and that's cool too.

As far as I know I've never heard of anyone having to replace the filler in cartomizers with teabags or fluval or anything like that.
