Offroading, reading and quilting...not simultaneously
Hmm, I did not see anyone else with my hobby, speak up if you are a fellow equestrian.
I'm so happy to see a fellow horse lover! I am President of Alaska's only 501(c)3 non-profit equine rescue in the state. I also have an APHA/AQHA coming two year old gelding that I call Shane. He was orphaned at birth (thank God I found a surrogate)...View attachment 313135 I've attached a picture (wasn't sure if it was going to let me) of a rescue horse I rehabbed. She was starving and tied to a tree...horses are my love just above vaping...LOL!
Here are my 3- mother in front with the terrible knees, registered Arabian as is her son behind her with his tongue stuck out and no blanket (he eats his and everyone else's). Laying down is my Paso Fino, who saved my riding career with his smoooooth gaits. He hates cigarette smoke and will be happy to have me riding and vaping instead. Like me, they are starting to get up there in age, all mid-late teens. I've had Mom and son for 15 years (he was in utero), Paso for almost 5.![]()
View attachment 313661 Sitting on my foot is Little Chicken Hattie-an Old English Game bird-- she's very old--I've had her for almost 10 years, and so named because wherever I am outside she will find me and fly up onto my hat. Chases me around chattering madly. She comes in to visit whenever she can sneak in. I basically have a retirement centre for retired show birds, many of my flock are birds I used to show and breed. I have an awesome long haired German Shepherd dog who I use for mobility/stability, and to protect the farm and critters. She's very keen. And a cat, old as well and tolerant of all birds. We are all pretty happy, hubby and I.
