What do you all think of this?

If they would have just said they were fakes. They did put the unauthorized statement in. It just is confusing with that. I am not a fanboy of fasttech, but do a ton of research before I buy. I am positive as the person that bought their svd or batteries from a US vendor it is genuine. I will say my delivery device clone I am not very happy with. The vision vivas work much better for me.

I sized my svd up with a person in the area that got one from a well respected b&m in the area. Not much difference.

Still information is golden and I appreciate all of it.:)

Every customer has that right.

Aye mate agree with that. The thing this is global. Rights are different in every country, business wise. I may have the right but they don't have to listen. Heck, every school board meeting that I go to I exercise that right. That is every meeting.

Fastech does state if they are genuine or not. The question then becomes are they lying. If they are calling them x brand manufactured by x company and they aren't. That then becomes fraud vs cloning. Which is a whole nother ballgame.

The thing is to discount them publically with out proof is wrong as well. At this point it is a he said she said.

This thread is quite a diversion. ;)

Sorry :)

I don't think there is a perfect one 18650 battery. It depends how one vapes and the gear they are using. There are good batteries that have been mentioned. My vote is for the panny ch after watching the u tube vid of one puposesly 'shorted'. I am a noob though.

Edit.. i hate taste change days.. grrrrr. a year plus and some days are grrrrrr

I keep reading that they state what's genuine and what is not. However, I don't see genuine used in their sale pages anywhere. Where are people finding these statements?

I did see the word authentic on One brand of battery, but none of the others. I also noted that several, if not all, of the round batteries do list a manufacturer. From all reports I've seen, that's a good sign to their authenticity.

My mistake cat of blue. :) I edited my post.

And I also am frustrated at times with what you call taste change days. I'm guessing you mean when no eliquid in the world satisfies? If/when that happens, sometimes I'll spice things up with a tad of menthol. Thankfully with what I vape, that rarely happens. :)

Egos have no "genuine" brand anymore, technically it's joyetech but everyone makes an ego clone of some type somewhere and there are tons of unbranded egos all around the world. So yeah people use them and note whether the battery seems like it's any good, but there is no standard to judge them by. FT does carry some genuine joyetech stuff, and it's full retail pricing.

Actualy Janty created the ego not joye tech

Also just because they are not authorized to carry authentic or genuine does not mean they don't get it from other dealers that are. If authenticity is your number one priority then I would avoid places like fast tech in the event you are unsure or cant be gauramteed, otherwise if you are ok with copies then you can't beat them. some folks say they have found mutts to be healthier and more more loyal companions than full blooded breeds anyway...

Ahh true... I took authentic to mean genuine. They do authentic with the ch's. If you read the discussion under the pd's, you will see a staff member that states the person that put them up did so without using the authentic "tag" by mistake. Bad business practices? probably... I don't doubt this happens a lot in China. My wife's father used to spend 3 weeks a month working in Japan... His stories are scary and funny. Usually though the staff, geek and Lydia are helpfully, albeit slow.

Apparently they use cloned mods and cloned human beings. I try never to judge anyone. If i feel something isn't right I walk away. One thing I do not like is being swindled. For some reason, I think US vendors have the prices marked up a ton and we are being taken.. I have no proof just my gut feeling.. which could be wrong. Most of it comes from 5 months of buying liquid at 15-20 bucks per 30 mls. When I can make the same stuff at under buck including the bottle which I do not buy bottles in bulk. Putting in the fact I have no idea if they are making it out of the toilet.

I tried many of the high end liquid sellers. I filled one tank and usually can not finish that tank. I still have 30 mls sitting on the top shelf of the cupboard. Luckily I am tall and my kids are all a half a foot or more shorter. I can't try before I buy. I can't return the liquid.

I would rather waste 15 bucks on crap for china than 45 bucks on crap from the US. Please don't take that out of context. :)

From what I can tell. Companies make these batteries and send them out to distributors who then re-wrap them with their own labels. My guess is the are like computer chips. All the chips come of the process. They grade them and then sell them based on the performance. My guess is the batteries come off the line.. The manufacturer test them then sells them based on that test. I wish I could find the post of a reseller that order X brand of batteries and they came from X company with different brand labels in the box - straight from the manufacturer. From what I remember it was a major one too.

Man my two mutts that I got off doggie death row.. One was bald she was so inflicted with mange... the other had been shot with a shot gun.. Sweetest two dogs I have ever owned.. healthy and lovable.. My kids adore them.. The look on my 9 year olds face with this manged mutt walking her around is priceless.

Then I came home from work one day and there is my other daughter with a huge smile on her face and this little beagle mutt limping around.

If I ever find the two previous owners.. you will see me on the news.

I understand your view bluecat. I guess I helped this thread go way off topic.

In all sincerity, I have been trying to learn the somewhat illusive tips on what to look for when shopping at a certain on-line company.

I have observed that they are very clear on stating the brand name and the manufacturer of their round batteries and prefer to end the previous discussion on a more on topic subject.

I would like to see more discussion and actual data about some of the newer made batteries, so I can make informed decisions about my next purchases and have the knowledge to decide what is best for my uses.
