Hi. I'm new, and this is my first post. I'm "analog" free now for about 2 weeks.

I started vaping a few months ago with V2 cigs, which was a decent introduction to the vaping world. I still use V2 cigs when my new toy is charging: Joyetech Ego Twist with Kanger Pro Tank II.

Anyway, as most newbies soon realize there is quite a learning curve involved in all of this, and one of my current "issues" is that of airflow. While the Twist cranked up to 4.8v works great with the 2.5 Ohm atomizer in the Pro Tank II, I've found that it is really airy. I've done a search here, so I know that this is fairly common. I like the look of the aesthetic piece that connects between the Twist and the Pro Tank II, but it only increases the airiness, so I've not been using it lately. I've actually found that the V2 sometimes (depending on the juice) can produce a thicker vapor because of less airflow, and if I put a Blu cart on the Twist (even less airflow & 100% VG), I have a nice, thick plume. I'm thinking about picking up the eRoll as a backup and for various public situations, too.

So, what I'm wondering is whether there are different airflow controllers and, if so, which one seems to be the best. I want THICK vapor production, and it seems to me that the airiness of the Pro Tank II is one part of the problem. I'm also wondering whether a different drip tip (I don't drip) might make a difference in terms of the draw.

Thoughts?

I appreciate this forum. and many of the folks that post here. a lot. I've been reading threads every day lately trying to learn and make wiser choices. Thank you for your time and effort in replying to my questions in this thread.

Thanks, Tvan. It seems that a skirt (or whatever they call them) that does not have air holes would be a good solution. I certainly would prefer the extra security of using a skirt rather than just having the tank connected to the battery, but those extra holes make a difference. I'll keep an eye out for one without holes!

Thanks again!

I have the air flow controller and didn't much like the effect. I do like the new Pro Tank 2 because of many things, not the least is that the draw is a bit less airy. There are folks who just use some tape or a broken toothpick to block the holes. I think this is a good solution even if it is not the permanent fix. It will let you know if you can get what you want from the Pro Tank by blocking air flow.

There is a vision victory bcc clearomizer that has a tighter draw and holds 5ml. It has the same type of coil heads as the Pro Tank. I like it. It is not glass however so you still have to watch out for the plastic tank killer liquids. I have heard about the Davide clearomizer and I think it is in glass. I want to try one of those as well.

I am now using a cartomizer: Smok DCT and I like that as well although, I must admit, I have already ruined my first cartridge. Totally user error so I will say nothing bad about the set up.

I don't have a link to mad vapes but it is easy: madvapes.com. They do have the air flow regulator and it is about $3-4. They are a good store and I like their customer service. They have really treated me well and I even put them to the test when I ordered a pass through VV that I didn't like. They let me return it for credit. There was nothing wrong with it, it just didn't function the way I wanted it to! I thought that was going above and beyond since I had tried to get used to it for over 2 weeks. Nice folks.
