Thinking of going from DCT to kanger pro tank

So ive got an ego c-twist with a dual coil tank, and after looking around ive been thinking of switching to a kanger pro tank 2. Mainly because the coil replacements are a bit cheaper than the cartomizers and it seems easier to fill the pro tank compared to the filling and priming of the dct. Was wondering if you guys have had experience with the two and if its a good idea to switch. Any difference with flavor, amount of vapor or problems you've had?

I went from a smoketech carto tank to protanks. I have 3 right now. easier to fill, IMO taste better and you can rebuild te coils to your likings. right now my im running a 2.3ohm coil with a ssmesh wick and cotton flavor wick. taste and works awesome. I wont be going back to cartos. next step for me are RBA's

For the money involved I think it's unfair to yourself to not try both. If you wanted to get a sense of what a PT would be about you could get a much less expensive Kanger T3s clearo and try that first. Same concept - slightly different execution. Also, since the PT2 is out, but not easy to find in the market yet, you may just want to try the T3s until the new version PT2 is readily available.

Some people say they get more flavor from a carto tank compared to a PT or a T3s - gotta try and see if the flavor level works for you.

I have never met a carto - in or out of a tank - that I didn't hate within two days so you aren't exactly going to get an objective opinion here. For me a Kanger bottom coil anything was a godsend. Easier to fill and maintain than a carto tank and longer and more consistent performance. Slightly less flavor than attys - but for the convenience I can accept that. That's what I get anyway. Me likee!

Vapor output is fine on these things but power geeks who want to run everything at high wattage or voltage, just because they can, get frustrated. They aren't built for high watts/volts and don't need to go there for the maximum vapor production the things can put out. Right now I've got a T3 coil measuring 1.9 ohms and "pushing" it with 4 volts is putting out plenty of vapor. I don't need to run it at a higher voltage. Actually I usually run the LR Kanger coils at voltages a lot lower than that. A PT or a T3s will work fine with a Twist.

thanks for the tip, im pretty much brand new to vaping and when i see mods and rebuilders i get kind of lost with all the info, but i hear its way more cheater than having to keep buying the replaceable. so you just keep the housing and replace the wick and coil?

I've been using single coil cartos in cartotanks for almost a year and a half. I was never a fan of the early clearomizers - they often leaked, had less flavor production, were fussy and inconsistant. I found just the opposite was true with my cartotanks - never leaked, had more flavor, were not fussy or inconsistant.

My daughter just began vaping, and I didn't think she'd catch on to using a cartotank starting right out vaping. I tried a variety of the newer clearomizers available today - Kanger Evod and Protank, Innokin iClear 16 & 30 and the Vision Vivi Nova. We settled on the Protank and the iClear 30 because of their 510 connection.

Today's clearomizers have come a long way from when I first tried them 16 months ago. Still not as consistant or with as much flavor production as a cartotank, but nice. You can't beat their easy fill & go for out & about use. I'm vaping on an iClear 30 on a Mini Provari as I type.
