Hello all.
Obviously I'd post this in the appropriate forum...But being a new member and all...You know how it is.
Anyway, I'm new to vaping. My roommate purchased an e-cig a couple months ago. And I wasn't impressed with that particular product, but it did impress upon me the potential of vaping.
So after spending hours and hours doing research in this forum (thank god for this forum btw), I decided to pick up a joye 510, a 510 mega battery pcc, a couple manual mega batteries, a few bottles of juice, and some genuine joye 510 cartomizers.
I love the joye 510, and my decision to purchase it was influenced largely by all the reviews and notes that I read about it here. So thanks to all those who've taken the time to provide information about it for us new vapers.
Here's the thing -
My reasons for switching to vaping are entirely health-related. Entirely.
And I've discovered both from personal experience, and from reading about the experiences of others, that there appears to be no way to use a genuine joye 510 cartomizer (or others, from what I've read), without running the risk of burning and subsequently inhaling the polyfill/bluefoam/whatever material you're using inside the cartomizer.
I'm not trying to begin or resurrect a debate on the safety of cartomizers in this regard...I just know that for me personally, while I hold out hope that the state of the art in cartomizers will advance such that this problem is eliminated, I'm not comfortable with using them at this time.
*And just in case any manufacturers read this, please realize that there are plenty of people out there that will gladly pay a much higher price for cartomizers that use a filler material that will absolutely not burn or otherwise emit harmful vapors.*
So anyway, since I can't use cartomizers, and since I love vaping and really want it to work for me, I'm looking for people's opinions on the best alternative.
The idea of having to add juice every few minutes (dripping, etc) sounds...Ehh...Kinda really awful, honestly.
I'm not sure I understand what the need is for a filler material at all...What you basically have with an e-cig is an atomizer that heats up to the degree that it boils your e-cig fluid, right? Wouldn't it be possible to design a system such that the atomizer was in direct contact with the fluid without a carrier material, that had a filter of some kind toward the mouth-end of the cartridge to prevent fluid from getting in your mouth?
But I'm a lot of things, and an engineer isn't one of them, so I digress.
If anyone can tell me what they think the most convenient option is besides cartomizers that doesn't involve the risk of smoking polyfill, I'd really appreciate it.
I'm not incredibly handy, but I'm willing to play with mods that would achieve this if anyone knows of a good one that would take care of my problem.
Thanks to all in advance.
