Check out the iTaste MVP, if you like box shaped mods.

Amazing battery life, and it doubles as a Battery bank, allowing you to recharge your cell phone or iPhone/iPod from the MVP.

Great device! You can get it for $65, and perhaps less if you search around.

Also, it comes with internal battery so you don't need to purchase batteries and charger for this device.

There is a Co-Op going on right now for the Innokin SVD starter kit for an amazing price. check it out if you can. I am a current Vamo owner and unless you have batteries and chargers already, it will cost you a bit to get all the batts, spares, chargers. But, I would still highly recommend the Vamo also. Been going 3 months strong. But if you decide on a Vamo, I would recommend the brushed stainless steel. The finish on the gunmetal wears off over time, the chrome gets scratched pretty easily, but the brushed stainless steel holds up pretty well.

No frills but excellent performance would be a Varicool VV box from SmokTek. If you already have a charger that can handle 14500's then it would set you back 55 bucks + the cost of a couple pair of batteries. I've had one for a year now - still works and it's one of my main devices. And if you actually want to run something all the way up to 6 volts and actually have it work a Varicool can do it.

what's the deal with the co-ops?
I'm a newb.

I do believe that before you can participate in Co-Op's or view the classifieds section of the forum, you must first become a verified member.

The co-op is just members who organize a group buy of a particular item at wholesale prices directly from the distributor / manufacturer. Typically the purchase requires a mass order. Under most circumstances the co-op coordinator is doing the co-op as a service to the community, and without profit for themselves... This allows verified members of the forum to take advantage of wholesale prices, and effectively cutting out the "middle man" who would be the vendor.

There is some assumed risk in participating in a co-op... There have been cases where a co-op coordinator will accept payment for a product, and never order or deliver the product as advertised, and never give refunds to the paid participants... While this is very rare, it is a risk that we, as willing co-op participants assume, and it is readilly advertised in every co-op hosted by the forum.

With that said, it would be wise to do some research on the co-op coordinator to verify their legitimacy before remitting payment.

And... You can get some red hot smoking deals on bleeding edge vaping products...

sweet thanks for the info I couldn't get the link to work cuz I'm not verified :(

DOH! I knew you couldn't participate until you were verified, I didn't realize the coop sub forum was completely "hidden" unless you were verified as well.

What dam said, and coops are not for the impatient. It can take weeks - some times months even - from a coop starting point, asking for input if anyone is interested, to the end point of actually getting anything. You can get good deals - only if you can afford to wait for what you are interested in.

Yeah, that's a good one too. I have both a V8 and the SmokTek Varicool I mentioned. They both have their pro's and con's.

For a complete kit the V8 comes in at the lowest price. But the battery install is a little futzy and long term durability is still a question. And you have to get it from a China site - only place selling it right now - so just pray you get a good one.

The VariCool is, well, a boring box. No display even. It's achille's thingus is the tabs on the battery door will eventually fail. (I have meant to e-mail SmokTek to see if they are supplying replacement battery doors.) But it just keeps on working. It does have built in protections, but none of those annoying shut down problems a lot of these low/mid-range vv devices have when you want to run LR or HV devices.

I have to give the edge to the VariCool. It's combination of boring/performance/lack of annoyances... it just works and does everything it's supposed to do or you would ever want it to do. If you wanna look they are here: SmokBox Custom Mods - 3.7v, 5v, Linear and Switching Variable Voltage

I heard about this site in a co-op and I ordered a Vamo from
cheapest vamo mod vv vw starter kit
Its coming from china so you will have to wait like 2 weeks but if you register with the site the complete kit drops to like $32 for black chrome and chrome and the stainless is $36.49. shipping is like 4 bucks. Make sure you pick the US power plug type.

Didn't realize that site was in china...I got mine from azvaportrails but ur right they were on closeout and discontinued (got the kit plus an additional v8+ for $32 shipped...awesome deal). Was considering a varicool till I came across that offer.
