Best cart mods for a 510 atty?

I have now upgraded my 510 to an eGo. I love it!!

I want to get the most out of my vaping experience. I have my blue foam. Exactly what is the best way to add my TV juice?? On top of the foam? I have heard something about the paper clip or straw method?? I can't find the links so I think the best place for this to be answered for me is the experts.

Thanks so much.

There are loads of filler mods to try with the 510. With blue foam, add to the top (VG liquid may be a bit thick, so will take longer to soak in). You can move it aside and start to add liquid if it doesn't seem to want to soak in or add a straw (see below).

Some other cartridge modification methods are:

(several listed)

And... if you decide to try out other fillers I can recommend AquaClear. I gave up on blue foam and now use AquaClear aquarium foam in my 510 (and all my other models) with great results. It is has slightly larger cells, and you cut it just slightly wider than the cartridge (same depth and length). No straws, etc. needed and have used one piece for well over 4 months!. My liquids soak in, and I don't have trouble with it leaking or the foam crumbling or burning. You can find it at PetSmart and PetCo.

Hellen obviously knows what she is talking about on the issue of cart mods (and a lot of other vaping topics). And there are two alternatives to modding the cart:

  1. Drip directly on the atty. I've not found any cartridge (with the exception of the next alternative) to be that effective in delivering e-liquid to the atty. Dripping gives you direct and precise control ... although it does require more frequent attention (analogous to lighting up an analog cigarette).

  2. Use cartomizers, which, since they integrate the cartridge and the atomizer, are quite effective. The black 510 hard cartomizers have greater capacity than the tan soft ones.
