best cartbatting/filling for a 40/60 - 50/50 pg/vg mix?

The VG liquid is thicker than PG, so what is the best batting for a ejuicemix as typed?

The juice has to come through the batting and to the atty, and i've heard that the blue foam is great!

Is this perfect for such a pg/vg mix? Is there other stuff that is just as good/better?

Im awaitng on a ejuice with about 40-45% vg and have only the old stockbatting.

I gave up last year due to stockbatting. Now i want to try again and need some usable filling in the carts. I've just ordered the Joye 510 starter kit and a bottle of ejuice

You can try blue foam or Fluval. When I was still using carts I really liked the Fluval. It worked well with 50/50 and 60PG/40VG juice.

Thanks tobarger, that fluval filling sounds great due to im getting a thicker liquid. What kind of fluval did you use? Or is it just one kind of fluval?

Fluval makes several types of foam filters, some are not suitable for vaping applications.
Make sure that there are no bonded layers and no chemicals, just pure foam.

Here is an example of suitable Fluval foam, many pet shops sell it in many sizes.
Hagen Fluval Foam Inserts at PETCO

Get the thinnest size so you won't have to do so much cutting and sculpting.

Sorry, I had to run out for awhile.

When I bought my Fluval I went to the pet store and opened all the boxes to see it (they hated me).

1) Solid block of white polyester foam (no layers)
2) Big bubbles
3) No chemicals
4) Thinner is better

On the internet it is often hard to see these things from a crappy little picture and even crappier description.
Fluval also has a numbering and labeling system that I've never been able to decipher.
Going to a pet store that has Fluval filters is the surest way of getting the right stuff.

Just a guess, these obscure numbers might be different models of filters systems that these filter pads are used in.
Maybe just different sizes and shapes of the same foam.
Like I said, I've never figured out their labeling and numbering system.
They may have even just changed it because too many people figured out the old system.
My box just says "U3".

Oh, i cant wait to start vaping again! This time i'll go through with it, now that i have got my hands on some blue foam and fluval! I watch reviews about the blue foam mod on youtube and will be searching this forum for filter mods.
