Hey guys, Been vaping on an Ego for about a week, problem is, I run dry fast and when I check the filler its never dry, it just doesnt wick all of the fluid to the atty, Im looking for a good and simple cart mod, I tried ZFM mod, but it was to messy and seemed to flood the atty alot, I tried PTB but that seems to stop wicking well once the atty imprints itself, and can also be a little messy. what about blue foam? or brass screen? and if so is there a specific mod to it that works best? any others that are better? my goal is to be able to have a consistant vape and use all of the juice I fill without having to top off so often. So if you guys could point me in the right direction of a specific mod I'd appreciate it.

I've tried the BFD, and the blue foam slug, and the HighPing cart mod. They all work well, up to a point. It takes a little finagling to get any of them just right. Maybe the slug is a little too narrow or too wide. Maybe the dart is just a tad too long. Etc..
But the HighPing is definitely the easiest to start with. Just cut off 1/2 to 2/3s of the polyfill that comes with the cart, and put the rest back in.

Google it for full directions.

They are all good mods, but as I said, take a little adjustment to get right.

Do I just cut it the length of the regular filler and put it in as such?

It's pre cut. I would buy a big roll of it but I have a feeling it would go bad before I used it all. 1 precut bag of 10 lasted me like 6 months and it was only .75 cents. I'm always looking for a cost effective solution to everything but I dont think .75 cents is breaking the bank with free shipping on all orders over $10. You could buy a couple year supply for 10 and not have to worry about the hassle of cutting it yourself.

I used the precuts from strictlyejuice and I really liked them. They are a bit wider than the filler that comes with a cart. I started experimenting with their length by shortening them but found that they let in too much juice to the atty and you get that gurlgling sound signaling a flooded atty. The dart mod is good because it breaks the surface tension at the point that the cart gets narrow and keeps the juice flowing. But I didn't want to keep straws around. So I started cutting my own using blue foam from the pet store. I just make sure when I cut one I leave a little tail at the end to break that surface tension. No more light taps to jumpstart a cart.
