so i got my order today..was going to fill the cartridge with fluid and saw that it doesnt have any filling in it whatsoever. doesnt this thing leak if i just put liquid in it without stuffing some kind of filler in there? and i suppose it would flood the atty in a split second.
on a side note, i also got a low res. reg. size atty and wow..what a difference vs. the stock atty! more vapor and more taste...its awsome

oh rats....so i must not have ordered and cartridge lol owell...back to shopping i go

Yep, they often come with 'dummy' cartridges and these have also been called 'atomizer covers' with the idea to protect it when not using.

Don't worry though - you and 10000 of us did the same thing the first e-cig we ever got hehe. In a way its quite bad idea because how many first-time people think "Well this sucks and its taking way too much juice!".

Now here is the next level on these - some experienced vapers deliberately use these blanks to try and get a sort of 'drip-tip' maximum juice thing going on.

But yeah.. I know what you mean and definitely grab some cartridges (with the little wicks inside) and sorry to hear more shipping issues.
(maybe distributors should be a little more explicitly clear about this issue)

Walmart sells polyfill in large bags in the sewing section. This is what comes in a standard cart. It looks like cotton, but it is a polyester fiber that is used to stuff pillows and living room furniture. Be sure that the bag you buy does NOT say fire ......ant. The bad stuff will have a label that says it is approved by the State of California to conform to fire safety laws. By the one that is not fire ......ant. You don't want chemicals in your polyfill!

Blue foam is another option. You can get that from a pet store or the pet department at Walmart. It's made by Marineland. You can buy it in packages of various shapes and styles. The one that most use is designed to be a slip over cover for a filter. It is like a flat blue foam sack that slips over a standard filter. You just cut a rectangular piece, wash and dry it in the sink, and insert it into that empty cart you got with the atomizer.

With poly or blue foam, once you have it in your cart, you just drip drops of juice into the foam until it pools and then suck up the excess with the bottle and insert the cart into the atty. You might want to plow the clear primer juice out of the new atty before vaping and drop a couple of drops of juice on to the mesh bridge to re-prime it before inserting the cart.

For now you could use polyfill - you can get it at sewing stores - it's sold as pillow stuffing. You won't be able to use the inexpensive strictlyejuice.com precut blue foam stuffing for 510 with a mega cart because they are sized for the standard carts. You'll have to cut your own - blue foam is Marineland Rite-Size U Foam Sleeve from the aquarium dept of Petsmart.

And for carts, you need to order mega carts

ok ive got some filler in there, something that resembles the filler that comes with the reg cart. wow...the mega atty sounds like a train going through the room. not sure i want to use it with ppl around, gurgling and noisy

That was the same problem I had with the mega atomizer and carts... mine are sitting in a box....

Sounds as if the atty is getting a little too much juice fed, simple solution - tip it up battery end up for a few vapes, dry the atty slightly, tip it back down if it gets too dry. Adjust how much juice is being fed to the atty using gravity. :)
