If you want cheap to try it out I'd recommend an igo l or igo w. I started with the igo l, found it was pretty easy to build a decent coil and then picked up an rsst. The genesis style atomizers leak if you don't keep them upright, so I bought a Russian 91 that came in today.

My RSST has never leaked. I'll never understand why people say that...

Yes, a genesis style atomizer will leak "if it's not setup properly"... I as well don't understand why people continue to say it over and over... Just admit it was a failure for you because "you couldn't set it up properly" and move on... Don't just make a general statement without an explanation as to why it leaked...

@amp79423 I'm happy for you, in finding something that worked for you, but you might also want to add to your reply that the Russian 91 also leaks, floods, shorts, and "WHISTLES"... Just to be fair in an opinion or reply... Do keep in mind, what works for might not work for someone else and vise-versa!!!

By that logic, any comment about any atomizer should come with a disclaimer that it will, leak, flood, gurgle, get the occasional dry hit, etc...I understand that what works for some doesn't work for others, I have a drawer full of stuff that worked great for others but not for me. Use what you like, share your personal experience with the community so we all gain the benefit of everyone's knowledge on our own personal quest for vaping nirvana.

I've always left my fill plug in. Leaving it out just seems limiting on where you can take the device. That being said, I can throw any wick in it, mesh, silica or cotton at any size and it won't leak.

Most of the time, my builds don't even come close to filling the wick hole -

Is that a pure cotton wick or is it ss mesh with cotton around it?

if you want the best imo and cheapest RBA out at the moment this it it.

$14.39 Kayfun Lite Styled Rebuildable Atomizer (4.5mL) - clear tank section at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I have a couple tobecos and other than a couple minor issues they work just as good as the real deal and apparently these are just as good but, with a reduced chamber that should in theory produce better flavor :) i'm going to order a couple. i'm switching to all kayfun devices, you can't beat the vapes and reliability once setup with a micro coil and cotton! oh, I won't be giving up my Taifun either, it's a stellar device aswell!

I'm not looking for massive clouds or LR. Standard resistance with a good vape and decent vapor production is all. I understand clone or not it won't be perfect, but better if you pay more for the higher quality. I'd be happy with 1.5-2. ohm (p.s. I went for the KFL from FT.)

The fill plug is aways out in my RSST because all my setups fill the wick hole. If ConradM takes his fill plug out it would get air back in through the wick hole or gap between the wick and the deck causing it to leak from the opposite hole. Its kind of the same concept as putting a straw in a glass of water, the putting your finger over the top of the straw and lifting it out. The fluid won't drain unless air can replace it. Also ConradM and I both prefer higher VG juices, and that makes them quite thick and less likely to leak.

I have more Gennys than I can count on my fingers. About the only juice I've lost from a Genny is when pocket gremlins stole juice w/o a trace. I have one Aqua and have managed to spill more juice from it than all my Gennys combined. Best call the Hazmat team when I fill Aqua:)

As long as there is only one hole where the air can enter and the liquid can leave the tank.... a genesis atty won't leak. Of course that hole has to be pretty small.

I would get a HCigar or Tobeco Kraken clone...with cotton wicks, it is a vaping monster. None of my devices come close in producing as much vapor. With the reduced chamber and dual coils it produces excellent taste...the only drawback it a juice eating monster with a small 2.5ml tank. Having said that it is very easy to fill the Kraken on the go with a needle nose bottle.

If you must have a large tank capacity...then the Hcigar or Tobeco Kayfun lite + is the way to go.

I feel you on the Aqua... It is one of my favorite atty's now that i've learned how to fill it. I watched a few YouTube vids and found filling it from the bottom is the best way and you can get 3ml in it vs 2ml filling from the top. Thanks to vapdivr and dwcraig1... It is getting easier now that I changed out the o-ring that was originally on it. You just have to make sure they are lubed up as well. It is a hard hitting little vapor machine with taste that is exceptional... I know you have had problems with tank wobble also, I have a little as well, but even the original has it. I haven't found it necessary to open the juice control on it now that I have figured out how to place the cotton in the channels properly. I bought the clear tank for it and am rockin' that at the moment. I do still vape the Ikarus hybrid and the Natural/RSST also, but find myself picking up the Origin/Aqua a little more throughout the day now...

I have to disagree with the vapor part of your comment. I as stated in the post above, purchased an Aqua to sit atop my Origin clone and while the cotton setup I have in it produces clouds, so does my RSST w/ SS rope and SS mesh combo. The biggest difference I have seen between the two is the Aqua is a much warmer vape and that is due to 2 factors. First is its a dual coil setup and second is its wicked with cotton. Even my Igo-L micro/cotton setup is a warmer vape than the RSST, but clouds are pretty much on par. The Aqua is setup @ .86Ω / RSST @ .9Ω / Igo-L @ 1.0Ω... I do find the Aqua goes through juice a lot quicker than the RSST, but I can get almost a whole day out if the RSST on the average day. The Ikarus hybrid 2.1 clone with a 2.5ml tank is on par with the RSST, but even at .8Ω, the clouds aren't on par with the rest. I have drilled out the top cap to 1/16" on it the same as the rest, but it is due to be opened up to 5/32" very soon. I just hate to really do that because the flavor is so good with the way it is right now. I need to make up my mind if clouds are more important than taste on that device before doing it...

Wobble doesn't bother me so much any more. Guess I'm used to it. No wobble w/ chimney closed.

My flow control o-rings have broken in making life a little easier; flow control is now possible by spinning DT.

The upside down fill is great when chimney threads are in the mood to mate. If not, I've been known to push chimney in to far and cause massive spill. User error, Aqua and I are a match:)

I am thinking of tank pressure/vacuum and am doing a little better regarding gurgle and leaks. Cotton yarn and silica make leak free Aqua easy but they don't wick fast like cotton ball. They work ok if juice is around 30% VG. Maybe I can try another Aqua cotton ball wick now that I have more of a feel for tank pressure/vacuum.

Interesting you mention the pressure/vacuum part of the atty. I was under the impression the Aqua worked the same as the Kayfun devices in terms of pressure and vacuum!! I watched a video of someone that put a clear M-tank on their Kayfun and when he took a hit off it, you could actually see the liquid level drop in the tank as he took a hit and then release back into the tank when he was done. It gave a very clear understanding as to how the pressure/vacuum worked in it, but now that I have a clear tank on my Aqua, I vaped it in a mirror and saw no reaction like he had... I wonder why that is? I re-coiled mine last night and put new wicks in it and the vape is even better than what it was previously. I think on my first tank when I vaped it dry, I burnt the cotton wicks and it was giving me a weird taste to my vape. Now that I can see the liquid it is easier to judge when the refill is needed!!! That is a very large bonus!!!

As far as inexpensive atties go, I am rather fond of my YK1 (cyclone clone) from fasttech. I think the smaller diameter helps out the flavor which is actually pretty decent . .much better than my IGO-L clone (also from fasttech). Pretty amazing little atty for $5.

I love my kayfun lite +, though . .if the clone is anything close to the real thing you'll be very happy with your choice.

It may be helpful to Aqua challenged souls, like myself, if you post pics of your dialed sweet spot Aqua.

Maybe my Aqua can give my IGO-F some competition one day.

Hey, muzichead. Just wanted put this out there, but you probably already know. A coil setup that can keep up with that huge air hole has got to be really hot. Imo you should just go up one size at a time, because my RSST is 1/8" and its too big. I am going to get a replacement cap soon.

It's been asked, I'm sure.. But as of now, I'm looking into an RBA as my PT2 is just a ....* on my Provari. Anyway, I've fuddled with my brothers RBA before (AGA T1). I'm wondering what's something a bit better to use in that price range? (I'm looking about $20.00-$40.00). I've done little rebuilding, but not afraid to dwelve deeper now as I've come to that point. Any suggestions?

If I had replied yesterday, I would have said the RSST....

....but last night I purchased a "Rocket" kayfun clone. Easy build and the vape is amazing. My other atomizers will now collect dust.

Hey, good catch bender... I meant to put 5/64"...doh... Yeah, 5/32" would be a little on the "over the edge" side, wouldn't it?
