Hello everyone!!

New to vape life and Im happy to be apart of the community! Ive started with a eSlick solo and Berry/Kiwi from Bulldog (flavor is not that great unfortunately  ). Im looking for juices that let off a very strong flavor. I know the larger vapes let off more flavor and vapor but Im not a fan of the bulkiness. I'll eventually have a larger vape for home (would love suggestions here too) but right now I'm considering a Halo G6 because I prefer the compact style and feel of the cigalikes - plus it has in my favorite color lol . Let me know what you guys think! Please point this noob in the right direction lol! Until next time, happy vaping!:vapor:

I imagine you're going to want to move up fairly quickly from that. I gave up on the "cig" form factor pretty quick when I realized that I couldn't get decent vapor from them and have anything resembling the word longevity from the battery. For my compact setup I have an Aspire premium starter kit with a 1000mah CF - VV battery and a Nautilus mini on it. For flavor, I'm still all over the place. I did a Zamplebox, and some samples from VapeWild, and a 5 pack from VapeJoose. Just look for some good deals on sample packs be sure to try a couple things you don't think are your thing. And of course if you have a local place try their stuff. I'm very lucky to have a VaporShark store near my work so I can go and try their in house stuff (which is really pretty good!) and they carry a ton of other people's stuff.

Also, welcome! Glad you're here!

I doubt you'll find a cig a like which will satisfy you for very long, though some people (9% or less) have success using them to get off the cigs.

You'll get tremendous flavor off the iStick 30 watt (or coolfire IV) with a Nautilus Mini tank, the most recommended quality starter gear on ecf.

Welcome.

Cig-a-likes have their place. Sadly, they also come at an exorbitant cost. Halo G6 is not the most expensive (not compared to some of the products out there) but having used this technology (in 510, RN4081, and KR808 specification) I can honestly say value for money is down off the "bottom of the ladder" and you have to weigh up just how much money is acceptable to pay. The eSlick solo is a standard eGo battery set-up and looks OK for $20, yes, why not? :)
So, cig-a-likes? You could get a Kanger KR808 type or Joyetech 510 style or even an eRoll or such like. The KR808 equipment with the PCC (personal charging case) is half decent. Personally, having wasted $800 on 'brand' e-cigs I would never recommend anything at all that is branded, including Halo.
Branded means they buy the same products as you and me can buy, put their logo on them and charge double, triple maybe more. There is even a US brand that charges 10 times the price you should be paying.

Last time I looked, there was a fairly cheap cig-a-like at "Volt" e-cigs

Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

So, if you can avoid the rip-off brands and handing over $150 for a $15 e-cig, then they are kind of OK.

Hello VZMT & Welcome!

I agree with everyone who advises you start with a device that will be more satisfying for you over a longer period of time. I had an Aspire device similar to the one Kabong described above and I really liked it. If I hadn't lost it, I'd probably still use it as a back up. At first I had a plastic clearomizer on it that worked really well. When I realized how limited my juice choices would be with a plastic tank, I upgraded the tank to a Nautilus Mini, and I still use the Nautilus Minis today. I love them and haven't had a minute's worth of trouble with them.

My favorite rigs these days are eLeaf iSticks topped with Nautilus Minis. I think either the Aspire CF like Kabong has or an eLeaf iStick 30 topped with a Nautilus Mini is what I would recommend for you. They're easy and reliable, and provide plenty of satisfaction.

All of the vendors Sir2 has recommended above are good ones. I know that My Freedom Smokes has a "Quitters Bundle" rig composed of an eLeaf 30 with a Nautilus Mini for about 50 dollars, and that's a fair price. Whatever you decide to buy, I recommend you buy a five pack of coils or atomizers to go with your tank too because you'll probably want to replace the coils every week or two. If you get a Nautilus Mini, the coils you want are Aspire BVC Nautilus Replacement Atomizer, either 1.06 or 1.08 are fine.

Good luck and let us know if you have any questions.

I started out with cigalikes, then went to ego pens - now I have three 30 watt eleaf I sticks - they are great !
Have one Kanger nano tank and two Aspire Nautilus tanks - like the Nautilus tanks the best - the large 5 ML tank lasts me all day.

As far as great tasting juice goes - my top three favorites are ...
(1) Kilo - Kilberry Yoghurt
(2) Suicide Bunny - O.B.
(3) Cosmic Fog - Church

Already a lot of good info. There is a lot here to help. Well, I wasn't a cig-a-like person but, I find flavors so much better than cigarette flavors. I didn't have much sense of taste at first and I just started out with strong flavors like mints. After a couple of years and minimal nicotine, I still enjoy the flavors, though.

Welcome to you!

About your concern for more flavor, there are several things that can affect it. It's not just having as you call it "a larger vape" that determines it. I can get great flavor using any vape supplies I've gotten in the last 2+ years - my old Joyetech cigalikes, my eGo 1100mAh batteries + clearomizers, or the little 10w Mini iSticks with Innokin 16D tanks or with Protank 2 & 3 Minis...as well as my larger mods.

The PG/VG ratio you're vaping has something to do with how much flavor you're getting/not getting. PG is the flavor carrier in your eliquid, and VG is the vapor or cloud producer. So, looking for higher PG % in liquids you buy may help somewhat. Another thing that may help - many juice makers will allow you to ask for a "flavor boost" or "flavor shot" in eliquid you order online or buy from them in a store. Yet a third thing has nothing to do with your vaping equipment at all - It's how your taste buds will continue to allow you to taste things better...the longer it's been since you've quit smoking!

About this in your post: "...right now I'm considering a Halo G6 because I prefer the compact style and feel of the cigalikes..." Then by all means, get what you prefer now, if it will keep you vaping and off the smokes! There's plenty of time, when you're ready and want one, to get something larger & more powerful.

Just curious about the above statement. What do you consider to be "a cig a like"? Where did you get the 9% figure? :)
It's in the CASAA info somewhere. Read that personal vape was more successful than cig a like, gum, prescriptions combined. Cig a likes are the vapes which look like a cig.

If you are settled on a cigalike, I prefer SmokelessImage to Halo. If you can, I would suggest at lease considering an ego sized battery with 510/ego threading. You would get used to it pretty quickly and there are a lot more options when it comes to tanks and stuff.

I used cigalikes for my 1st 6 months and off and on for a year. Nothing wrong with that but, if I had it to do over again, I would have started with something more versatile.

I would look at the AIO PCC at caterpillar vapes which has them at 20.00 dollars I think. The kit includes one 510 battery, personal charging case and three blank cartomizers to fill with your own juice. It is a pretty nice kit for people who want something that resembles an analog. You should buy one more battery with the kit. I think My Freedom Smokes has them for a pretty good price too. I have the new Epuffer rev 3 PCC kit which I really like but they are a little pricey for what you get. I think the branded PCC is the best on the market right now. EPuffer also sells blank cartomizers, but like I said they are pricey. Like nine dollars for a pack of five. They are magnetic cartomizers and batteries. Newer technology. I use these products on occasion when I am out because sometimes you just don't want to carry a Mod around with you. Eventually you will want to upgrade to some sort of mech mod or regulated device. Also 510 boge cartomizers are really cheap right now. I have seen 5 packs go for as low as 3 dollars.
