What's wrong with the kit you have now?

If you want cig size, you can cross/upgrade to a joyetech
Kit or try using one piece cartomizers with the battery/batteries
you have now.

I bought a super inexpensive 808 Starter Kit (Automatic Battery)
from canvape a couple of weeks ago ($10) to tide me over until
my EGO-T Kit arrived. 180mah battery doesn't last long if you're
a heavy vaper, so I bought another battery ($7.95) and will buy a couple
of more spares soon. Cig like size and only two parts to deal with (Battery
+ Cartomizer).

EGO-T Kit was delivered last week and I'm not errr... fond of it.
Switched back to my 808D within hours and sticking with it.

Buy an Evod or Protank for the Ego.

You're not smoking. Why do you think your vaporizer should look like a cigarette?

I'm sure it's a form factor comfort that is the issue. When you move beyond the limitation of size, you will find better performance.

The greatest issue with cig-alikes is minimal battery capacity. Most will deplete the battery in less than 2hrs. That's insufficient IMO.

Looking to upgrade my very basic 510 cartomizer starter kit ecigarette to a more premium/better device. I like cartomizer based systems but I'm open to other ideas. I like something that looks like I'm actually smoking a cigarette. Any recommends?

Keep your current set up for when you actually need a cig-a-like and get an ego set up for when you are comfortable using something slightly larger.

+1 to this!!!! ^^^
My Blu (with Boge 510 carts filled with my own juice) is used when I'm "out and about"...Still too many around my area that freak if they see something akin to a "hookah", waterpipe, etc.
My eGo-C Twist topped with a Protank 2 or T3 is for home use...Because it's kinda bulky, there's also less likelihood of breakage from carrying it around with me, especially in the car!!
Happy (vaping) Trails!

Yep. Many vapers look down on cig-a-likes, but I believe every vaper should have them in their arsenal. I have 6 Volts (Smokeless Image), and I use them every day. I also have a Provari, an SVD, a Vamo, and a ZMax, among other novelty mods, but the Volts come in handy when I'm in class (stealth vape, looks like I'm chewing on a pen). My girlfriend also prefers me to use Volts when we're out and about, because lugging around a tube mod can bring unwanted attention.

Some vapers who've graduated to eGo's look down their noses at cig-a-like users. Just remember, we all had to start somewhere, and that cig-a-like user might just not be a noob (in my case).

I agree that the biggest limitation with 'something that looks like a cigarette' is the battery size/capacity. Most of them are about 180mAh and they simply don't last very long. In terms of physical size, they're generally 9mm wide.

Ego batteries are bigger (14mm wide) and their capacity ranges between 350mAh (minis) up to 1300. A 650mAh last me most of a day.

But you've already said that the egos are too big for you to feel comfortable with. So I suggest a compromise.

I recently bought three 400mAh batteries from fasttech. They cost $5.30. In size, they're 11mm wide, basically midway between a cigalike and an ego. They're automatic (no button) and have a nice red crystal LED tip. And they have a standard 510 connector so you can use your favorite cartridges. They come in green, red, blue, silver, and black. Here's a link...

As I said, I ordered three and all three worked as advertised. I still prefer my egos but these are definitely less conspicuous.

Somewhere out there
I agree with Rocketpunk, cig a-likes have their place, infact so do disposables, which I keep some in my purse (Flings) all the time for emergencies or when I don't have time to get my vape stuff ready for travel. I also have Volt & G6 cig a likes, egos, Halo Tritons, iTaste vv/vw, GLV's & Provari. You always need backups for your backups :) And sometime a cig a like is just so easy, I like them sometimes. LOL bnrk

The eroll is a nice device. That's my out & about device & I like it. It's a tank type set up but it performs really well. It's small like a cigarette & has a nice PCC for keeping it charged.

There is also Volt, Bloog, (probably others but I can't think of them all) and there is also the Blu premium 100s (this one performs the best out of the Blu set ups). These are all carto systems so one of them might be something you'll like.

These are the batteries i'd be looking at if I needed the best cig-a-stick type ... I intend to get some with my next FT order!
