Been using different variations of E Cigs for 2 years. currently got an Aspire ET, was wondering how long people got out of the atomizer before having to replace? What's the best Clearomizer out there in terms of lasting longest. Mine last about 2-4 weeks, using the battery on about 3.8v. I have a mare who has an Iclear 30s who says he gets 2-3 months out of each atmomizer, is this possible or is he blagging me? Any thoughts/help would be appreciated, cheers

I use ecto tanks and coils, bought at my local vape shop. Have been very happy with them. I get at least 2 weeks with the coils, sometimes longer.
Maybe your friend doesn't care if his vape is non-existent and tastes like burned tires for a couple of months. When I was using clearos, I rotated them out daily, soaking one in vodka while using the other one. Even then, I got maybe a week or two before needing to dry burn them. Eventually, I got tired of that and taught myself how to rebuild them.
Can you just soak the heads or do you have to take them apart before soaking them?
If you mean the entire clearo, yes. Take the coil out of the unit for cleaning. The rest of the unit can just be cleaned with warm water.
Yes, just unscrew the atomizer, drop it in a cup of vodka or grain alcohol, and let it soak all day. Rinse it well with water and set it aside to dry overnight. Replace with the atomizer the one you soaked yesterday and you're good to go. It's not the same as dry burning, but it helps to clean up some of the crud.
I was vaping menthol for two+ months with the same iClear16, the same coil. Never cleaned it, never washed. It is still working good, but I have switched to other tanks and flavors since then. So, yes, it is possible to run the same coil for a long time.

Ha, I know what you mean. I just meant did one stand out in terms of life expectancy so to speak...
The only answer on which lasts the longest that is realistic is - we don't know. Everyone has a different experience, and with the minimal quality control in the industry, you will never get an answer that will perfectly match the experience you will have with whatever is in question.
It's also unfortunate that you will always get a vape snob who tells you that you are doing it wrong and you should be doing your own coils.
Mostly I say, you'll have to do some experimenting on your own to find the right clearomizer for you. Most of the popular brands have small clearos that use the same coils as their larger ones, which can allow you to try them at a cheaper price (mini protanks and aspire K1's come to mind, although the Nautilus would require more investment).

Yeah, I'll keep trying, don't have the time to start trying to make my own etc. still saving a fortune compared to smoking cigarettes!
Wasn't a targeted statement ElC. Just a general observation on the community (not the ECF community, but the vape community). The common question is "how long does X coil last?" and the answer is usually "It sucks, just do it yourself", when the silent majority just doesn't have the time or interest in building. You've only given helpful information in this thread.Thanks for all the comments guys, even though Ive been vaping for 2 years, I don't know much about the hardware. It's literally been case of nipping into my local store or going online and buying one, usually that looks good lol. I have a hectic lifestyle with work and my kids, although I suppose cleaning it now and again is probably not too much to ask lol. The mate I mentioned earlier has an Iclear 30s, he said he now only buys liquid with 4 or less ingredients as any more than that reduces the lifespan of the coil, again, is he talking crap or has he got a point? It still only costs me approx £10 a week to run this compared to £10 a day if I was to purchase 20cigs a day!
It has been consistently reported that thick and/or darker juice tends to reduce the lifespan of coils, that's true. Number of ingredients, I'm not sure about.

They last well though (the iClear range) so kudos to him for finding them.
Now,about those liquids..... I have some liquids with Nic base/PG/VG/Flavour/enhancers and water, sometimes even vodka. Sometimes even 3 flavours.
I have been vaping one recently with only 2 ingredients....
I rest my case.
Anyway... a HUGE WELCOME to you
