Very lucky to live in Hawaii!

What is your favorite Kona Coffee Farm? Do you like Makahiki Farms?
Sorry I missed this originally. makahiki is fine. Its the belt of the kona coffee country in Captain Cook.
Most of the farms worldwide are 3-10 acres only! So labor intensive.
Over the years, I've had so many friends and nieghbors startup and run coffee farms!
Lately I've been into Ka'u coffee. Its the southern end of the Kona district area.
In Captina Cook, I also like .... Brothers Coffee, they also have taken several international awards over the years.
Just the past 2-3 years My Nieghbor at Cloudrest Coffee in Ka'u has been my weekly supplier.
There's another GREAT coffee farm on Molokai! Muleskinner Coffee. No shortage of primo java around here LOL!
One of my farms- (mostly mac nuts) is so close to Cloud Rest, I have to drive by the driveway - so knowing I like her
coffee, and have watched them (like most in 30 years) plant, grow, roast, package, taste test, etc..its just in my grinder
more often than others. I prefer medium roast (max caffiene) or the peaberry. I think the website shots of the Mac nut trees in the background is the front part of a property I bought back in 1976...so quality plus convenience often dictates my busy week.
Any of the Captain Cook Farms (they jointly roast usually with Kona Coffee growers council) do a good job.
For me & my tastebuds, the beauty of local coffee is full flavor without a dark roast- medium, max. caffiene boost, max flavor without any near burn. I went through my Dark/French/Espresso roast stages years ago. Age maybe mellows us?

I've got to fly out tonight for the week- but hookup if you like, and I'll try to check in on tapa if time allows.
aloha no pumehana. Happy holidays (mele kaliimaka)
